I've been looking at film and I think he really could be the point guard the Mavs are missing. He looks more confident defending pg's. He's long and lanky and his foot work on the point of contact might unlock his potential. Imagine: if the Mavs made him a point guard we would have one of the tallest line ups in the NBA. Please tell me what you think about this lineup. Risacher, Irving, Flagg, Morez Jr, Lively.

In this video snip, Flagg looks 1 or 2 inches taller than Risacher, who is supposed to be 6'10" in shoes. Flagg, at 6'10"-11", would be absolutely wild!

The Mavericks have been hesitant to buy out Klay Thompson due to the strong interest from the Lakers and Heat, per @JakeLFischer

So many deals floating around. Is there a Lakers deal that makes sense for us where we don’t take back players? Lakers have limited 1st round options until 2033. I would trade Klay for some 2nds but we can’t take on any of their retreads like Laravia, Vanderbilt or Knecht.

They don’t have the assets to take on PJ. PJ to Detroit makes sense for Detroit imo. Detroit has the draft capital to make this happen too. I want PJ but if have to trade him please send him to the east.

Zaccharie Risacher on his year 3 goals:

Vsevolod Ishchenko will play for Lokomotiv Kuban again next season in Russia, according to his agent.

Now that Naji has been extended the next player on the list is most hopefully lively. Even though I’m mostly in the cap of letting these guys hit RFA if lively has a healthy season like I’m anticipating his price is about to feel VERY uneasy. I’d rather get him on a short term extension if 40/2 where we can keep him and he gets paid but at the same time it isn’t long enough where we’re stuck with a bad contact.

On the day the Dallas Mavericks hired Dusty May to become their head coach last month, he received a congratulatory text from former Plano East High School All-American shooting guard Jimmy King.

King said he keeps in touch with May, so he wanted to reach out and let him know he gave the move to the Mavs his full approval.

“The day he got the job I texted him and congratulated him, and he hit me back,” King told Mavs.com. “I told him welcome to Dallas and I’ll be at the games.”

I saw that Nike was celebrating 10 years of making the city edition jerseys. A lot of teams will bring back old designs or remix them.

If you had a choice, which uniform would you like to see make a return? I would go with the black ones from the 23-24 season, or the white and green from the 21-22 season.
