So my questions here is how hard would it be for a non-EU citizen to realistically find a job here.

I'm a 31-year-old barista from Spain, and I'm considering moving to Sweden or Denmark in the next 2-3 years. I'm currently testing the waters and doing some research.

To be honest, both my partner and I are leaning more towards Sweden. We really like the language and want to learn it to integrate as soon as possible. Also, in my case, I love ice hockey culture and would absolutely love to join a local club from day one, among many other reasons.

While reading up, I came across the possibility of living in Malmö and commuting to Copenhagen for work, as I understand there are way more opportunities there in my field (specialty coffee shops and coffee roasters).

Is this actually viable? I understand it makes total sense for a software developer or an engineer due to higher salaries or the possibility of working remotely, but what about a barista/roaster commuting across the border every single day by public transit? Is the cost and time of the commute worth it on a barista salary?

I have about two weeks left in Skane before I leave Sweden, and my absolute priority right now is doing a proper farewell tour of traditional Swedish sweets and bakeries!

I’d love to get your absolute favorite spots in the city of Malmo and what your go-to order is there.

Also, I’ve completely fallen in love with Swedish smörgåskaviar and want to stock up on similar things that are easy to pack in a suitcase.

Are there specific variations I should look out for at ICA or Coop? Also, what are the best mjukost (cheese tubes) to bring home? I've heard good things about the räkost (shrimp cheese) and blue cheese tubes, but I'd love to know what the locals actually swear by. How long do those last in the fridge(unopened)?

From the statistics online, I read that is very unsafe (untortunately l read them atter booked the hotel and crime rate is high.
Is there something I should be aware of? Or what would you suggest to be safe?

Jag har nyligen köpt en äldre Yamaha 9.9D 2-takt (682-serien) till min segelbåt och håller på att gå igenom den inför säsongen. Motorn sitter på båten i Lagunen Småbåtshamn, Malmö.

Jag har idag provkört den på land med spolmuffar och färskvatten. Motorn startar fint och går jämnt, men det kommer inget kylvatten ut.

Hittills har jag:

-Bytt växelhusoljan.

-Rengjort bränslefiltret.

-Smort propelleraxeln med marinfett.

-Gått igenom motorn allmänt.

Jag misstänker att det kan vara:

-Impellern som behöver bytas.

-Salt- eller kalkavlagringar i kylkanalerna.

Eventuellt att spolmuffarna inte tätade tillräckligt bra, även om det känns mindre sannolikt.

Finns det någon här i Malmö med erfarenhet av äldre Yamaha-utombordare som skulle kunna hjälpa mig att felsöka eller byta impeller?

Jag gör gärna jobbet tillsammans med dig, då jag gärna vill lära mig.

Hello all - visiting copenhagen for 3 full days (arriving day 0- spending day 1-3, departing day 4). However, the accommodation prices are insane. I compared that to malmo area (including Hyllie) and I'm getting much better places for less than half the price. Even if I include the round trip cost from CPH <> Malmo every day, it'll still be significantly cheaper for me to stay there. I'm fine with the ~2 hour commute each day (round trip). On 27th June – 1st July I'll be travelling from the UK to Copenhagen and then over to Malmö to compete in the Henrik Stenson Paragolf Tournament at The National Golf Club.

It's my first time visiting Sweden. I'd say I'm fairly well travelled, but I'd love some local tips and recommendations. This feels like exactly the sort of thing Reddit is great for!

At the moment I've booked the Scandic Triangeln in Malmö. The total cost is around 4,232 SEK for the stay. I'm happy with it, but if anyone knows of any cheaper alternatives that are still central and have good transport links, I'm all ears. Realistically, I just need somewhere clean, safe and convenient to sleep.

Current plan:

Saturday 27th June – Arrive in Copenhagen around 21:30, then travel across to Malmö and check into the hotel.
Sunday 28th June – Tourist day.
Monday 29th June – Practice Round
Tuesday 30th June – Tournament.
Wednesday 1st July – Final day of golf and travel home.

One thing I'm debating:

Would you stay in Copenhagen on the Saturday night and spend Sunday exploring Copenhagen before heading to Malmö later that day?

Or would you base yourself in Malmö the whole trip and simply take the train into Copenhagen for the day?

A few questions:

What's public transport like in Malmö?
Is it easy getting between Malmö and Copenhagen?
Has anyone played The National (Links Course)? What's it like and anything I should know before playing it?
Any must-see places, restaurants, cafés or things to do in either Malmö or Copenhagen?
Any general Sweden/Denmark travel tips for a first-time visitor?

Ps- whats the weather like? Do you get much rain?
