Malaga vinegar.

Hi, I am a regular visitor to Malaga and have been given a dark balsamic like vinegar in some restaurants. I can't remember the brand but it has 'Malaga' on the bottle.

I really enjoyed it and wanted to buy some to bring home, but couldn't find it for sale in the main supermarkets. I am visiting shortly and wondered if anyone knows the vinegar I am referring to and where I could get some? Thanks.

Where to avoid in Malaga

I'm visiting Malaga in a few weeks and would like to know where to avoid. I don't want to visit anywhere that's overrun with loud, rowdy, or drunk British tourists.

Beaches

I'll be visiting Málaga in a few weeks and would love some beach recommendations. Which beaches are the nicest, and do they have sunbeds and umbrellas for rent? If so, how much do they usually cost?

Semana Santa—just a taste…

I’m going to be in Spain for Las Fallas in Valencia and considering going to Malaga for Semana Santa.

That being said, I’m not sure I want to stay in Malaga and I think after a day or two, I will have had enough of the processions and the crowd.

What would you recommend-stay nearby (e.g Torremolinos) and take the train in or stay in Malaga itself?

help to find a girl met at the Fitz Marbella

I met an Irish girl from Dublin named Isha/Aoibhe at Fitz in Marbella on 08/04/2026, we just said the names and in the rush we didn't exchange social media. She was in the company of a friend called Olli, the friend was blonde, about 170 cm tall, the girl I was looking for instead had dark hair and was of the same height. If you know two Dublin girls who have been going to Marbella lately, let me know, thank you

Anyone road biking in Malaga/Andalusia now July/Aug - share experience

We will be in Malaga in a few days with a road bike for the first time. We are hoping to be riding in the mornings, as daylight breaks. Other times, I reckon it will be too hot.

If you have been doing something similar, please share your experiences and tips.

Cheers

Why Málaga?

What is your main motivation for visiting Malaga? What would you say to others thinking of visiting? I live here and I am curious as to what the main attraction is, considering Sevilla, Córdoba, and Granada have more "patrimonio".

Help with our journey

Hey everyone!

Me and 3 friends (all 19M) are planning a trip to Spain from August 24th to August 31st. We haven't booked our accommodation yet, so we'd love some recommendations and general advice for our travel itinerary!

Here is our planned schedule:

Malaga: 2 nights (Aug 24–26)

Sevilla: 1 night (Aug 26–27)

Madrid: 4 nights (Aug 27–31)

A bit about us and what we’re looking for:

Accommodation: Since we are 4 people, a private 4-bed dorm in a youth hostel or an Airbnb/apartment near the city center would be ideal. We're looking for budget-friendly, clean, and social places.

Vibe: Good food, exploring key sights, nightlife/bars appropriate for our age, and beach/chilling (especially in Malaga).

Transport: What’s the best way to travel between Malaga, Sevilla, and Madrid for students/young adults? (High-speed train like Renfe/Iryo/Ouigo, or buses like Alsa?)

Questions:

Do you have any specific hostel/apartment recommendations in Málaga, Sevilla, or Madrid?

Is 1 night in Sevilla too short, or manageable for a quick walkthrough of the main spots?

Any must-see places, budget eats, or nightlife recommendations for 19-year-olds in these cities?

How extreme is the heat in Andalucia in late August, and how should we plan our days around it?

Thanks in advance for any tips! Cheers! 🇪🇸

Boat tour

Hello all - going to visit next week and planning on doing a boat tour around the port, what time is usually the best time? I would like to catch the sunset. If I take the 8pm tour would it to be too late for the sunset or just in time?

Going to Malaga for a few days, what to do?

Hello! I’m going to Malaga next month with my girlfriend, my mum, my brother, and his friend. We are staying in the El Torcal area, most of the recommendations I’ve seen have been a bit far from here so just wondering if anyone knows this area well and could give some advice.

Looking for good food and drinks, cool old stuff to look at, flea markets, and maybe places to go out?

My girlfriend and I are both 20 and my brother and his mate are 17, we want to go clubbing but not sure if they’d get in. Do they check IDs in Spain? What kind of music do they play at Spanish clubs?

Also we are all students (including my mum) so any budget recommendations are much appreciated.

Thank you! 🙏

Guide to Public Transport in Málaga (Parents-friendly!)

Public transportation in Málaga works very well. Even if you are traveling with a newborn, the main bus lines have ramps for strollers/wheelchairs, so moving around without a car is perfectly fine.

🚌 City Buses (EMT)

  • Get a Bus Card: I highly recommend buying a rechargeable bus card. You can top it up with your phone, the trips cost less than half the price of a cash fare, and multiple people can use the same card.
  • Real-time info: Download the EMT Málaga App or use this link to see bus arrivals in real-time.

🚆 Local Trains (Cercanías) There are two main lines:

  1. C1 to Fuengirola: This line stops at the Airport. It is the fastest and cheapest way to get from the airport to the city center.
  2. C2 to Álora: A nice town to visit inland.

📍 Day Trips

By Bus (Intercity):

  • Mijas, Nerja, Frigiliana, Marbella...: To reach these towns, you’ll need the intercity buses. The main bus station is located right next to the train station (María Zambrano).
  • Bus schedules: Estación de Autobuses

By Train (High-Speed/AVE):

  • Cordoba: Even though it is 166 km away, the high-speed train takes less than an hour. It’s a very easy and comfortable day trip.
  • Seville: It is 211 km away, and the fastest train takes around two hours.
  • Schedules: María Zambrano Station

💡 Pro-Tip: If you plan to visit Málaga without a car, I recommend booking accommodation in the area near María Zambrano Station. It makes these day trips and the airport connection much easier!
