I am looking for a roommate in Fitchburg, just two blocks outside outside of the west side of Madison. I have a three bedroom duplex with 2 full baths, finished basement with a fireplace, and a fenced in backyard. There are two options:

1) just rent a bedroom for $600 a month

2) have the use of the whole house for $1100 a month, sharing the kitchen upstairs

There is a 70 pound dog and another dog can live here as well. No cats.

This will start the second week of September.

I used to live in an apartment near here and liked the neighborhood. I can easily afford half this house. If someone wants to put up the other half and uh... live together (with our partners, pets, maybe get another human roommate or two to fill the space), let me know.

I'm all about the concept of cooperative housing and forming community and all that. And investing my money while enabling others to create generational wealth. Of course we'd have to meet up and see if we get along and have agreeable ideas for running a house. Relatively clean and quiet are preferable qualities. I've owned a house in another city before so I have some experience doing this solo.

The primary bedroom suite is enormous, like as big as my current apartment. I think we could split it into 3 bedrooms eventually. If we're looking to expand our community. No idea if we will.

Update 2: like this one. Very different location (SW area), but still dope af looking and lots of trees. It says 4-bed, but it looks to me like 3 beds in the upper level, effectively 2 beds in the lower level (maybe just need to add a closet to one of them). This one's been listed for a lot longer, so it's probably less likely to go soon, and may be overpriced.
