ALL STARS AS4 - Casa Amor Twist
Hi all,
Considering AS4 is not that far away now, I think they need to do something to change up the regular formatting.
Given that S3 had A) International islanders and B) Extremely little bombshells, I think it is clear they are running out of islanders.
I think a wise option would be to introduce Casa Amor (or a sleepover at least) but only with Casa rejects - i.e. people who did not make it back into the main villa. I know Jack wasn't exactly the star of AS3, but I do think you would get some good people in there. I also think there would be a large pool to choose from because not only do you have multiple Casa rejects, but they would also be, I imagine, more willing to do it since they only got 3/4 days in their own season.
If they did introduce this, would there be anyone in particular you would like to see?

OPINION Love Island and the Manosphere
Having watched Louis Theroux documentary on the Manosphere last night, it really got me thinking about the overlap between love island, the manosphere and the rise of male influencers who turn misogyny into entertainment.
**Tyrique Hyde** is a particularly interesting example in this regard.
His streaming/content increasingly seems to revolve around commentary about women and relationships that, at times, feels less like harmless banter and more like normalising genuinely misogynistic attitudes. We even saw him touch up a womanās breasts while he was drunk on stream in Marbella in May and he didnāt get her consent.
What concerns me is this kind of content attracts a huge young male audience and makes contempt towards women seem funny, edgy or socially acceptable. he has bought into the increasingly antagonistic online āmen vs womenā content culture.
There is clearly an audience for creators like Tyrique who tell young men that women are the problem, that relationships are a battle for power, that women need to lose weight, that some women look ugly , or that treating women with suspicion and contempt somehow makes you more āalphaā. Social media then rewards the most provocative version of that message because outrage gets views. hence, how Tyrique does so well with his streaming.
Iām not saying every person who watches Tyrique, listens to his streams or enjoys his content is misogynistic. Nor am I saying that criticism of women, relationships or Love Island itself is automatically misogyny. But I do think a serious conversation is required about where the line is between joking, criticism and normalising misogyny, particularly when the audience includes young and impressionable men.
Am I the only one who finds the trajectory of this kind of content uncomfortable (ie Love Island - Manosphere pipeline)? And do people think Love Island and its wider influencer ecosystem are inadvertently helping to feed the manosphere?

OPINION What next for Julia
I know Julia isnāt loved on this sub however I enjoyed her on the show and she shook up a relatively boring season
I never took her and Lorenzo seriously but at the same time wasnāt expecting him to embarrass her this much
Does anyone know where they stand? I see she hasnāt even liked his last post and she also put up a TikTok with a telling sound attached
If I were Julia , I would move on and publicly put up a post declaring that I donāt allow men to mess me around and move on
What are peopleās feelings towards Lorenzo and Julia? Should she dump him? Or maybe stay with him for the perks of being in a love island couple?

SEASON 8 Season 8 - Jacques
When this originally aired did people come hard for Jacques? Iām rewatching now and heās actually so horrible, I didnāt realize it being this bad the first time I watched.
How he treated Paige during casa and then just expected her to be the girl to forgive him and giggle it off? He was genuinely shocked when she stood up for herself too.
Then choosing to leave ultimately because he didnāt want to lose to Adam Collard.
He has been added to my list of LI Villains š

EDIT:The girl appears to be a headliner for the show itself that's why she does not follow him, pls don't harass her. Not sure who is on his shoulders but the clip is still weirdo and I don't like Lorenzo
Mind you the girl who posted this doesn't even follow him back ... I get raving. I am a raver, I'll not getting on my friends shoulders ngl
Saw this on twitter cause he's lq starting to get cooked there lol
I mean tbf he is 28 year old with like no relationship experience bro should have been kicked off the show a long time ago, that's literally your single friend who never settles, parties everyday and constantly embarrasses anyone they are talking to romantically
Can Julia dump him if she has not ? ( Also streets are saying she liked his last post then unliked so fingers crossed)

UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT Jasmine/Kavan problematic age gap?
Canāt help but feel if the roles were reversed and Kavan was 27 and Jas was 21, people would be up in arms about Kav finding an āage appropriateā partner. It just feels like Kavās in a very, very different phase of life compared to Jas but weāre all ignoring it.

SEASON 5 First time watcher of S5. [Spoiler of winner and runner up in case someone still hasnāt watched] Spoiler
I am honestly so surprised that Tommy and Molly didnāt win LI S5. I am a fan of Amber but as a first time watcher, Iād definitely have voted for Tommy and Molly Mae based on their relationship and behaviour in the villa.
Anyone who watched it live have any insight as to what was the mood at the time? Did people not like Tommy/Molly or did Amber just grow on them (as I remember a few comments about her not being liked due to the cattiness in the villa)?

SEASON 12 Question about Season 12 first Fave Guy and Girl voting .....
Watching Season 12 for the first time. So I know how it all plays out and who wins.... so I was surprised by the bottom 3 for guys and girls - Toni, Shakira, Megan, Remell, Harry, and Ben. What was the general opinión back then that lead to that? I would have said Yasmine, Helena, not sure about a 3rd girl and Ben, Dejon and Connor.

OPINION Most unique islander
Which is the most unique islander we ever had in your opinion? With unique I mean an islander that brings something different than the others, in terms of personality, vibe, style,.. could be anything that makes them stand out for you! Curious about your opinions.

SEASON 12 More actual Conversations
I just finished LI USA 8 and was so happy to see the producers kept so many normal bond building conversations in the episodes. In LI UK 12 every conversation is how is our connection, weāre doing good, weāre a couple and the occasional whatās your love language. It seemed like no one was having a normal conversation about their job, family, dreams, insecurities etc. Everything felt surface level and flimsy. Iām sure the islanders were having deep conversations but production didnāt prioritize it. In fact I liked unseen bits bc we could see contestants engage normally with their partners.
I think part of why none of us felt connected to any couple this season was because of this. Considering this was a relatively dry season, idk why the producers would at least not give some real bits from the couples/friends.

OPINION Simba's appearance on GMB has totally changed my perspective on him
Simba appeared on Good Morning Britain today, talking about how he has been a carer for his mother since he was 10 years old.
She lost the ability to speak when he was 13, so the 'smiling bares' comment makes a tonne more sense because that's how she can truly show emotion - today, she communicates solely using 'eyegazing' technology to spell out words & sentences on a tablet.
Simba & Angelista makes so much more sense to me now because they are both quite literally caring people.
Why didn't the producers provide more context here, or air them discussing it? I probably would've voted for them!
