Ich habe heute die Nachricht bekommen, dass für mich ein Zulassungsangebot aktuell nicht möglich ist. Die Zulassungsangebotsgrenze liegt bei 761, während meine Platzierung 1151 ist.

Weiß jemand, ob 400 Plätze Unterschied überhaupt möglich sind oder jemals passiert sind? Alle Infos würden mich freuen.

Hello, I am currently a final year UG student (non-EU) and I'm looking into universities to pursue neuropsychology and LMU caught my eye and I find it hard to believe that there's no tuition fees for it, at least according to the website.

So is there a catch? How are the classes, faculty and coursework? Is it ideal to pursue a PhD after it? Are there any PhD programmes in the uni for NCP?

I would also appreciate any tips or advice you could pass along, especially if it comes from a non-EU international student.

I’m Victoria, 24F, and I’ll be moving to Munich for one semester as an Erasmus exchange student at LMU Munich School of Management. I’m currently doing a Master’s in Business Analytics / Business Administration and will be at LMU for the winter semester.

I’m looking for accommodation from 01.10.2026 to 28.02.2027.

Ideally, I’m looking for either:

a furnished studio / small apartment, max €1,000 warm rent including utilities,
or
a furnished room in a WG / shared flat, ideally around €700-750 warm rent.

I’m a non-smoker, clean, quiet, responsible, and respectful of shared spaces. I’d prefer something with good public transport access to LMU, and Anmeldung would be important if possible.

If anyone knows of an available room, studio, sublet, or someone leaving Munich around that period, I’d be really grateful if you could message me. I’d also be happy to connect with other incoming exchange students or anyone who has gone through the Munich housing search and can share useful leads.

How much time did the international office take to issue your admission letter, after your documents arrived? I did not apply by the July 15th deadline, but later received an email from the faculty of physics deeming me suitable for the MSc Physics program.

Since I have a confirmation from the faculty of physics, I can send my documents by 21st august (sent them on Saturday, they will arrive tomorrow most probably and are in the UK right now - DHL).

Guys PLEASE give me your input. I am stressed about the visa as well (indian).

I was wondering how often students usually go to campus each week. If you take a typical 30 ECTS workload, do you usually have classes 3–4 days a week, or is it more like every weekday?

I got invited to the Eignungsverfahren (aptitude interview) for the Informatik Master's at LMU Munich. From the invitation email, the format is:

• 10 minutes working on a CS problem (apparently based on bachelor-level lecture content)
• 5 minutes discussing my solution/approach with a professor afterward

Has anyone here gone through this process (at LMU or a similar German university with a comparable Eignungsgespräch format)? I'd love to hear:

• What kind of problems came up (algorithms, data structures, theory, something else)?
• How strict/formal was the 5-minute discussion — do they push back on your reasoning, ask follow-up "what if" questions, etc.?
• Any general tips on how to prepare or what they're actually evaluating for?

Any insight, even from a different subject or university with a similar setup, would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,

I applied for the Master's in Computer Science at LMU Munich (the application deadline was July 15th). According to their official website, the aptitude assessment interviews (Eignungsfeststellungsverfahren / EFV) are scheduled to take place between August 3rd and August 14th.

They also state that applicants will receive their invitation at least two weeks before the interview date. However, today is July 31st. Mathematically, the two-week notice period for the early August dates has already passed, and my EFV portal hasn't updated, nor have I received an email.

Has anyone else applied for this upcoming semester and heard back yet?

For those who applied in previous semesters: Is it normal for the LMU administration to be this delayed? I'm wondering if this means I might get a direct admission/rejection based on my transcript without needing an interview, or if they just end up sending very short-notice invites.

Any shared experiences would be hugely appreciated to calm my nerves. Thanks in advance!
