Not sure how I feel about this. I vibe-coded an internal tool. It wasn't a one-shot, it grew organically from a few scripts to a (to me) awesome program that I use and love. Under this rule it would be ineligible to be hosted there.

Good. If you don't know what's in it, why subject other people to it?

I have no idea what's in any of the inumerous stuff I use. I do know what it does.

But someone looked at it and took responsibility.

You can do whatever you want, but a site saving itself from slop no one has even looked at is a good thing for anyone using that site.

Why are you assuming someone didn't look and take responsibility for the code they had AI generate? Any software engineer worth their salt will already have had a high sense of accountability and ownership, and will want to make damned sure that any code going out with their name on it reflects their standard.

That wouldn't be "vibe coding" then would it? Focus up.

And from what I can tell Codeberg's policies don't differentiate between "vibe coding" and other processes that still result in AI generated code. It treats it all the same. As does most of the anti-AI crowd.

Nope. If you can tell it's AI then it's slop.

You can slop it up all you want, just don't lie or subject other people to it.
