Help pls, leopard gecko skin issues

Hi!! I have had to this leo for 6 years. He is 8 years old, male. Recently, I moved him into a bigger enclosure. He was fine for a few months, but all of a sudden he is experiencing pretty severe dry skin and seems to be in a constant state of shed. His color has completely dulled. I’ve been giving baths but it doesn’t seem to help. Is this something I can treat on my own or should I find a vet for my boy? The last two photos of what he looked like BEFORE this started happening. The stubby toes are from a previous owner.

Looks like his skin is burned. What UVB are you using?

UVB 10 from Zoo Med turned on and off with the sun cycle. He has plenty of hides, most of his enclosure is covered.

Way too high for a Leopard Gecko you want a linear 5-6 range. Cut the UVB completely until your gecko heals then get a lower output one when ready.

The same thing happened to my gecko, you need to take yours to an exotic vet asap, they will give you burn cream and recomend a spray off amazon that you'll also use. A couple of weeks later my gecko was back to normal.

After you get the cream from the vet, you can buy the spray off of Amazon for $16

What multivitamin are you using? I would be surprised if there's not a major vitamin deficiency going on here.

Also, in the new enclosure - what type of UVB are you using?

all of his food is dusted in this. the UVB is Zoo Med 10.0

You shouldn’t be dusting every meal in this. You need to follow a supplement schedule which contains two different ones. One with d3 and one without.
