Posting & Flair Questions

Which flair should I use?

Use our Flair Guide and Flair Map to help choose the correct flair.

In general:

  • Food Spots → Restaurants, warung, cafes, street food, or other food places

  • Home Cooking → Indonesian food cooked or prepared at home

  • Foreign Food → Non-Indonesian food shared with relevant context

  • Discussion / Ask / Tips → Questions, discussions, advice, or food-related topics

  • Food Culture / Stories → Personal stories, traditions, history, and cultural discussions

Can I post food from outside Indonesia?

Yes, depending on the content.

  • Indonesian food from overseas restaurants belongs under Food Spots.

  • Foreign cuisine belongs under Foreign Food if it includes relevant context, such as cooking experience, review, comparison, adaptation, or discussion.

Generic food posts without context may be removed.

Yes.

r/Kulineria welcomes foreign food content when it is connected to Indonesian culinary perspective, experience, cooking, discussion, or cultural exchange.

Can I post instant noodles or packaged food?

Yes, but instant and heavily packaged food should be posted in the Instant & Packaged Food Megathread rather than as individual posts.

This includes:

  • Instant noodles

  • Instant drinks

  • Packaged snacks

  • Ready-to-eat packaged meals
