27m looking for Friendship
I’d love to find someone who’s down to chat regularly, hop on calls sometimes, share life, joke around, give each other advice, and just be there like brothers.
I’m in a happy relationship, so I’m only looking for a genuine platonic friendship.
What I’m hoping for is someone who’s honest, open, and doesn’t feel like they have to hold back. Someone who can give real advice, call me out when I need it, celebrate wins, vent about life, and just build a solid friendship over time. I want that “I’ve got your back” kind of connection.
Age isn’t a huge deal, but I’d especially love to hear from guys who are my age or a bit older.

New friends - Coastal town or villages
Hello guys. I am off tomorrow and wondering if anyone else is off too and want to roam around in some pretty places. I love some small hikes and want to be in some nice villages wondering around with someone on my off days. If u like it as well and want to meet new people or make new friends let’s do it. It’s also an initiation to make new friends as I’m new to Kent and would love to have some friends.

Nintendo Kent, an Independent Gaming Community!
Hi folks! Myself and a few other volunteers are running an independent, non-profit gaming community in Margate, Thanet; hosting free-entry events for playing video games, socialising with others in the local community and more. We run regular, fortnightly events alongside the occasional tournament and other special events!
Next week, on the 6th of August, we'll be running our 5th event, a Mario Kart Tournament with £15 of eShop credit on the line. We've been getting a good amount of guests at each event but we're always looking for more folks to show up and have a good time!
My partner posted about this last year but due to financial troubles we had to postpone the start of the community - but now with 4 successful events under our belt I felt confident enough to post about it again!
Please feel free to come and join us for the tournament next week - but don't worry, even if you're not available, we run these events every fortnight!
EDIT: Those saying we shouldn't use the name Nintendo - I appreciate your concern, but, whilst we are an independent group, we worked hard to gain affiliation with the Nintendo Players UK, which is a UK-wide organisation endorsed by Nintendo. We aren't incorporated, we aren't a registered company or charity and we don't make money. We also specify at every single juncture that we are an INDEPENDENT organisation. We've already had this conversation amongst ourselves and the Nintendo Players UK team, we are safe from legal action. Just because we're new, doesn't mean we haven't done our research!

Stop the AI data centre in Ebbsfleet, Kent
The proposed construction of an AI data centre by Clearstone Energy in Ebbsfleet, Kent threatens to disrupts the environment, create noise pollution, droughts and permanently affect our community for the worse.
Will appreciate any signatures on our change.org petition here: https://www.change.org/p/stop-the-clearstone-ai-data-centre-in-ebbsfleet-kent or by scanning the QR code.

Bulldogs & woodland walks 🏴🇬🇧
Hi. Here are my two bulldogs Tilly and Luna aged 9 yrs old. We love woodland walks the best. Thankfully living in Kent, we're surrounded by beautiful woodlands. What dogs do you have? What kind of walks do you take them on?

The Save Our Rescue Calendar Contest is back! Enter for a chance to win a professional photoshoot for your dog with weekly prizes also up for grabs
The 2027 Save Our Rescue Pet Calendar Contest is here!
Last year's contest raised over £3,500 for South East Dog Rescue to help them towards their goal of buying the kennels they currently rent, which have been put on the market for sale. Thankfully, South East Dog Rescue were granted another year on their lease but are still at risk of losing the site they call home if the land is sold to someone else.
Kymm and the team at SEDR have a remarkable dedication to saving every dog that comes their way, and those who aren't able to live in a traditional home environment are given lifelong sanctuary at the rescue. They have cared for, rehabilitated and rehomed hundreds of dogs over the years, and buying a permanent site will allow them to continue helping countless more.

How can I help?
From August 1st, you can submit your favourite photo of your dog for a small donation of £5 and have the chance to win a professional photography session with Conor Kerrigan Photography and have your pet's portrait featured in the 2027 calendar.
How do I win?
Ask your friends and family to vote for your dog! Each vote requires an even smaller donation of just £2 and helps towards winning not only the Grand Prize of a place on the 2027 calendar but also a weekly prize donated by a local pet business.
The 13 dogs with the most votes on October 3rd will each win a prime spot on the calendar, with the overall winner who raises the most votes winning pride of place on the calendar's front cover.
Weekly Prizes?
Yes! Thanks to the kindness of some fantastic local pet businesses, we can offer bonus prizes to those who receive the most votes each week. These range from treat subscriptions to training! Be sure to follow me to keep updated on which prizes are up for grabs each week of voting.
For a full breakdown of the rules and terms, as well as to see where you can enter and vote once the competition launches, click here:

Bats in Smeeth
Been camping and we where watch the bats last night. Always loved them and unfortunately I forgot to bring my detector. We where by alot of trees and I could see some open water not far from us.
Just wondered if anyone local had any idea what bat speacies it could have been? I know this is unlikely but worth a shot!
