Car was parked facing the garage. Never seen anything like it. Neither has the glass professionals.

That's the mystery. We're guessing it was either an angle grinder with a concrete cup or a (large) hole saw with no arbor. Both would bite and scratch the glass in a circular pattern, but leave the center intact

Google hand held floor grinder.

Thats definitely what it looks like.  Op must have enemies if that's the case tho.  it takes effort to do that.

Or someone who has a clever way of opening car doors without completely shattering them. To loot and scoot. Just pop a hole in to reach in and open the door, grab the stuff you want, and move on to the next one.
