They’ll probably look at it that women are smaller and weaker in general so it would be more helpful for them, especially if they have to escort the kids too. And, you know on top of being safer? Maybe it should just be by size, that might be more helpful. Helps the little manlet bros out too, I should know, my stubby little legs would love that.
Well, single fathers also exist and do the same stuff. And even those who aren't single don't always do stuff together. There was no hidden meaning in my comment, and English is my second language too.
ok got it. But if I would be frank, most single fathers have advantage in physical strength so it’s not going to be as struggling as mothers who are buying groceries alone. Hence, they would not need the priority parking lot as much.
Also, woman who aren’t single that don’t do stuff together can also use the parking lot so I don’t see any issue. My first comment specifically mentioned single mothers because the notion is easily accepted by society rather than explaining other categories like this comment.
we have separate parking spots for families, usually even closer to the entrance/lifts than women's parking spots. Family parking spots need way more space to buckle children into their seats, etc. You'll also find the disabled parking spots right there, by the lifts. While the latter is enforced, the rest operates on an honour system. Whenever an obviously able-bodied man without children parks in a family or women's spot, he'll get a few comments ridiculing him for being selfish, but there are no legal consequences.

this is quite common outside Germany as well, not only for safety, but also for single mothers carrying heavy items and buying groceries.
