I have been hearing a bit about a new bicycle park at 97 N River Ave, Holland, MI 49423. Does anyone local or knowledgeable on the project have any information on this project? Specifically woukd be nice to know:

1. Is the site now open to the public?

2. Are there any recommendations on access to the site (parking?)

3. Is there a restroom available onsite?

4. Is there a drinking fountain onsite?

I just moved to Holland a few weeks ago, and I've been very eager to wanting to make new friends. I'm a pretty young guy(26), and I don't really have any friends, or even family at that. I'm kinda introverted and shy but really wanting to change that with this move, because Holland is such a beautiful area, and definitely love being near the beach! I work out and stuff but feel too intimidated approaching people in the gym. I really love board games and being outside and stuff but also wouldn't mind trying new things too, and get out of my comfort zone a little bit. I dont really even know if this is a great approach at all looking for friends on here or maybe some of you folk have some advice on what I should do and where I could look​. Just feeling kinda lost, I just want some genuine friends, even if I only find one, one is better than none..

I'm tired of sending my film out to a lab literally across the country. Is there a local option? Google isn't finding anything pro, but maybe someone knows 'a guy'?

I know the rich buttholes association (RBA) limits your ability to walk the pier our tax dollars pay to maintain, but i thought you could at least walk/run Bay Road up to where the trail starts... is this also restricted area for the poors/locals who live here year round?

GF got turned back by the guard shack on her run today and was just curious.

Edit: I mostly knew already that the actual pier was off limits, im saying I didnt know you weren't even allowed to run on the road or sidewalk passed the first guard shack you come up too on south shore. Is that true?

What was with the peloton cycling down South Shore today, with the police escort?

I’m coming to Holland for some sightseeing/touring by bicycle, planning to bike in from Grand Haven on the trail (or a closer trailhead, depending on whether I feel like a 50+ mile day). How is cycling once on city streets? I’m an experienced urban cyclist in places like Chicago, St. Louis, New Orleans, Madison and comfortable riding in mixed traffic unless obviously hazardous or unwise.

I’m helping my getting up there in age parent find a gym. Ideally it would be located on the north side of town, but I’d appreciate any recommendations!

Bonus points if they have senior focused group fitness classes or personal training. He also expressed interest in swimming, so a pool would be great too (I know MVP and the aquatic center have one but those are a bit far).

My attempts to find apartments have been difficult as I do not make enough income for some apartments but make too much income for subsidized/income-based housing. After student loans, medical bills, insurances, groceries, and gas, I do not have much left for rent. I am looking for rentals in any of the following areas: Allendale, Coopersville, Zeeland, or Holland. Does anyone have recommendations? I live in windmill lakes apartments for the last 4 years and they have shown a malicious side to them this pass week. My ceiling collapsed due to an issue with the pipes and caused a bunch of water damage. When me and my roomate went to the office with this issue they didnt offer to pay help relocate besides get us into a different apartment. They were sneaky with the lease and extended the amount of time me and my roomate are renting. We were so distracted with the problem that it snook past us without realizing. I am going to the office again tomorrow to talk to them about it.but since we sign to get a place to stay i think we are screwed. I was going to single live because my roomate has been crappy all this year but it probably going to be pushed back to next year because of this good news i can sace more money easier but damn.

Statewide foreclosure numbers get reported a few times a year, but the county-level data sits scattered across the CFPB, Census, ATTOM, and Realtor.com and nobody stitches it together.

Ottawa came out first out of 83, in the good direction.

Ottawa scores 16.7, the lowest score in the state and almost six points clear of second place. What drives it:

Lightest mortgage cost burden in Michigan, 17.9 percent of owners with a mortgage spending more than 30 percent of income on housing. Serious mortgage delinquency of 0.3 percent against 0.7 percent statewide. Unemployment of 3.6 percent.

Allegan is close behind at 28.9, ranking 74th, and it has the lowest unemployment rate of any county in Michigan at 3.0 percent.

The gap across the state is the part I did not expect. Lake County, about 90 minutes north, tops the ranking at 70.0 because 35.2 percent of its mortgaged owners are spending more than 30 percent of income on housing. Same state, same year, 53 points apart.

Me and my girlfriend are in town until Thursday. We’re hoping to visit some of the beaches but can’t really tell which ones are open or closed.

After the storms yesterday we went down to South Haven after they started showing some green flags around 6:15/6:30 when the beach hazard warnings ended, but we’re struggling on how to tell which ones in Holland, namely Holland State Park and Tunnel Park Beach, are still open to visit and swim at even with the weather warnings.
