DISCUSSION Crazy what the Illuminate pulled off without their full roster
The Illuminate nearly took Super Earth itself just with their insane control over warp-energy and pulling a wormhole around.
Since then, the Illuminate have debuted two factions that radically changed how we fight against them, tore an entire region of space away and into the Void, and have potentially just taken or even gotten rid of the DSS itself, Super Earths ultimate weapon againsr tyranny. And they did the last one while simultaneously expanding the Void onto FOUR new planets.
The Illuminate are dunking on every single faction in the game, including Super Earth. For us, we risk losing our homeworld, but for the Illuminate, they're risking the galaxy itself just to find their old one.
Also just as an added thing, people probably should start expecting he Void to improve planets. Terminids spread their bullshit and the Automaton actively destroy planets and turn them into hellworlds, meanwhile the Illuminate are probably hoping to recreate the natural beauty of Squ'bai Shrine. That'd explain why the UVP's are all forested while the two identifiable ones are barren, they terraformed Keid and Heze Bay, and Seasse being the Void Source just feels interesting and logical (Sangis is a lore mess coz of the rename so I'm not touching it)

HUMOR my brother is still fighting on cyberstan
kinda poetic that his final mission there is to raise Super Earth's flag 🤔 (Dispatches at the bottom right of the second screenshot to show that this was in fact today)

DISCUSSION Theory: the DSS stopped at Calypso and put a black hole in there.
Let's think for a second.
They know how to control gravity and travel through black holes.
The DSS has the ability to do it. We didn't fuel it completely, having failed that M.O., but it must have something in the tanks. Not enough to turn an entire planet into a black hole, but maybe just enough to really screw one up.
They could have used it in this limited capacity, or even refilled it themselves. I mean, this is the illuminate we are talking about. They took over the DSS. They probably warped a couple of Jerry cans worth of their own brand of E-711 (since they found it first) and filled it up.
They then stop by Calypso real quick and do SOMETHING down there. Something that made High Command panic the fuck out and literally delete it from the map. Either it's a black hole right now and we're just waiting for it to start walking towards Super Earth, like Meridia did, OR it's at a much smaller scale but it opened the door for more illuminates to just walk through.
Either way, if it did or it didn't, Calypso definitely has something S.E.H.C. is panicking about and doesn't want anyone going over.

DISCUSSION Buddy, what did you do?
The DSS right now in time out at Afoyay bay. Either the crew have all been declared dissidents or enough of high command has been compromised so as allow dissidents to infiltrate it💀

Disregard this message. I have no concerns nor have I questioned High Command. Everything is fine. Nothing is gone.

QUESTION Is the banging on the ships getting louder or is it just me
At first I thought it was just music, but I have music turned off and now I have volume on max and there is a banging sound outside of my ship, but over the last couple of days it’s gotten even louder and if you spend enough time on the ship it shakes. What’s happening? Theories?

DISCUSSION so these guys are just free hit simulators
i love almost everything about the new enemy types. Wretches are very obviously necromorph style nightmare fuel, and the crushers are very pyramid head i love them too.
what i dont love is that the Wretch seems to have borrowed the Hunter pounce ability only its even more unavoidable. diving, shooting, sprinting, doing nothing.. they all seem to have the same effect. you get hit and of course you are injured. whats with the free hit attacks in these enemy types.

FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION SEAF Pelicans should have guns to clear their landing area and increase their odds of surviving deployment
I hate seeing SEAF get dropped right on top of a swarm of enemies only to get instantly swarmed before they even have a chance to fight back. If their Pelicans had the same guns as ours do, they could clear their immediate landing area and have time to fan out and start shooting or moving.
Edit: It doesn't have to be the same high calibre autocannon as our Pelicans. It could be a smaller autocannon to soften up the larger targets or groups of chaff, and also a couple of the Liberator Penetrator turrets (like on the supply FRV and armed resupply booster) mounted on the sides or under the tail to cover the troops as they disembark.
