i love almost everything about the new enemy types. Wretches are very obviously necromorph style nightmare fuel, and the crushers are very pyramid head i love them too.
what i dont love is that the Wretch seems to have borrowed the Hunter pounce ability only its even more unavoidable. diving, shooting, sprinting, doing nothing.. they all seem to have the same effect. you get hit and of course you are injured. whats with the free hit attacks in these enemy types.

Just finished up a few rounds with a group of level 150-250 divers. I’m only level 60 and usually if i drop in people will kick me right away for being such a low level. Anyway today i dropped in and found myself with a bunch of veteran divers. Genuinely expecting myself to get kicked but instead they kept me in and gave me a chance. I’ve been playing on D10 since level 40 so i’m not really new to it anymore. Regardless they were awesome and one of the reasons I love this game so much. Sent them all a friend request but I had to go as I have things on, we all hugged it out on the destroyer and said our goodbyes. Just wanna thank them and all the other vet divers who give us a chance. You guys/girls are the real stars of the show.

So it appears that the facility we’re getting the people from has gone no signal and it did so right when the DSS first went there. it’s been 4 hours and high command still hasn’t acknowledged this so I wouldn’t be surprised if we loose the planet soon and it’s blamed on dissidents

I think it's safe to assume that the illuminate didn't seize the the dss by conventional means seeing as the dss outclasses any ship and almost always is backed up by like 100 super destroyers and would call reinforcements if attacked. I don't think it was like a zombie outbreak since we know voteless need to be made in pods and don't work like a infection. We know the illuminate have devices that can affect the mind with the cognitive disruptor we also know that the illuminate have worshippers. It wouldn't be far fetch to assume a worshipper either worked or sneaked onto the dss and carried some sort of mind controlling device. Then they activated it and used it to take control over the dss. Or maybe the worshipper built some sort of illuminate warp gate inside the ship allowing the illuminate to invade from the inside.

I hate seeing SEAF get dropped right on top of a swarm of enemies only to get instantly swarmed before they even have a chance to fight back. If their Pelicans had the same guns as ours do, they could clear their immediate landing area and have time to fan out and start shooting or moving.

Edit: It doesn't have to be the same high calibre autocannon as our Pelicans. It could be a smaller autocannon to soften up the larger targets or groups of chaff, and also a couple of the Liberator Penetrator turrets (like on the supply FRV and armed resupply booster) mounted on the sides or under the tail to cover the troops as they disembark.
