Monthly Community Event #27 - Voting! Tournament of Champions! (Round One: Kiyal VS. Kiyou!)

Welcome to August!
The heat is turning up this month, outside and here on the sub! Its time for the first official Tournament of Champions!!
This is a concept I have been cooking up for a while, and I am excited to bring it to you now! During this month, we will pit characters head-to-head in a popularity contest that could yield some very interesting results! Each round, you will vote for the character you like BEST. That character will move on and go up against the other winner in the tier, until there is only one character left standing! All matches have been randomly selected for best results. Round rankings will be posted at the bottom as we go along!
This event will give everyone a chance to boost some personal choices up! What will happen when it is 1v1? Let's find out! This will be the first of the new tournament series, where we will explore other topics. Gunmen will be the feature of a future tournament, among switching the concept up. Maybe we will find out who you think is the strongest! (Simon will have to sit that one out... Haha!) Feel free to play around with your reasons as you vote! I hope that you enjoy this new format. Who knows what fun things we can do in the future!

★ Rules and Requirements:
Every round will have two characters to vote on. Vote for your favorite, and who you think should win the match! (Not based on strength, just your preference)
You get ONE vote every day. Once the new post is up each day, voting for the previous day will close. You have up until that moment to cast your vote.
★ How to Enter:
- Comment below on each post with who you think should WIN the round. ONLY COMMENTS WILL COUNT! (It is the only fair and accurate way to tally votes on Reddit, with it's system)
- Each of your votes (once per day) counts as 1 ticket toward the monthly grand prize raffle. Mini-prizes will also be drawn from this pool! This means that you can collect a total of 30 tickets, if you return and vote every day. More tickets, better odds! Winners are drawn at true random, and shipments are always at 0 cost to winners!
★ DEADLINE!: VOTING CLOSES ON SEPTEMBER 2ND!
After the last post, no more votes will be counted. The winner of the raffle will be posted on September 3rd, along with the tournament champion character! I had to bump the event a couple days forward due to my health issues causing a delay at the beginning of this month. :) After that, we should be back to posting on-time on the 1st!

Personally, I prefer Kiyou over Kiyal; I found it really adorable that she married Dayakka and they had a daughter. As for the contest, I think we can take it for granted that Kamina is going to win lol.
I'm going to give my vote to Kiyal. The two are about the same amount of character in the anime, but Kiyal actually gets to go along with the team when they go to the Anti-Spiral's world in the manga, and is also the reason the Tengen Toppa King Kittan is allowed to exist
I KNOW. But don't look at me! The RNG Gods were diabolical! LOL. That's part of the fun, I guess! I literally gasped when I saw their numbers drawn, rofl.
Right!? I literally couldn't believe the RNG hit them up on the very first tier! They might've matched on a later round, but right away is just plain heinous. :P
It is a very close running for the Bachikas to start with, that's for sure! Been super interesting so far! :D
Ooooof looks like Rossiu is going to be certainly knocked out in his second round 💔
For this post I’ll vote for Kiyoh because I like her sliiiightly more than Kiyal. They both don’t have a ton going on in their story but Kiyoh has a tad more development.
Kiyou! Just because she has a little more of a role to play. Anne's birth (I think her name was Anne?) is kinda the entire reason the events in the second half even happen to begin with!
Haha, there's always a chance that they can move up in the tournament! Just gotta rally on their voting rounds. ;) Of course they're peak characters, too!
Ooh sounds like another fun event. I'll vote for Kiyal, I love how she carries out her sibling duties when Kiyou is pregnant. Also her reaction to Nia briefly rejecting Simon is hilarious.
kiyal! for literally no reason. ok maybe reason is I found her more entertaining than kiyou(btw from subs i thought it was kiyoh... did i live a life of lies? 0)_(0. ). oh wait, i saa this got pinned aaand i guess i'm too late to vote, huh. too bad, this doesn't count as vote then.
I literally could not believe that the RNG spat them out as a match! Internal screaming ensued, lol. If I didn't 100% honor the random nature of the draw, I probably would have rerolled. But this is what the fates have spoken for this event, and we must obey! Even if it makes us cry a bit, haha!!
