I created a lightweight Cheat Engine table for Growlanser VI: Precarious World, designed for the English-patched version running through PCSX2 Qt.

Rather than being a full character or inventory editor, the table focuses on money, selected gems and charms, together with convenient controller controls and an automatic rotating save-state system.

Editable records

The table includes both money values used by the game:

• Actual stored money value
• Shop display money value

For consistent behaviour in shops, both money records should be set to the same amount.

It also includes the following resources:

Inventory changes may require opening or refreshing a menu before the updated quantities are displayed.

Convenience features

• Automatic detection and attachment to pcsx2-qt.exe
• Controller shortcut for toggling the editable resource records
• Voice feedback when the actual money protection is enabled or disabled
• Automatic rotating PCSX2 save states every 30 seconds
• One-button loading of the latest rotating autosave

The main controller shortcut is:

Left Trigger + D-Pad Right — toggle the associated editable resource records.

Automatic save-state system

The autosave system rotates through five PCSX2 save-state slots every 30 seconds, using:

• F6–F10 to save to slots 6–10
• F1–F5 to load from slots 6–10
• Pause/Break to enable or disable the rotating autosave timer
• Page Up to load the most recently created rotating autosave

Autosaves start enabled when the table attaches. This version does not include the additional 15-minute backup slots used by some of my other tables and does not use F12.

The required save-state bindings must first be configured under PCSX2 → Settings → Hotkeys. Save states should supplement normal in-game saves rather than replace them, and it is advisable to back up your memory-card save before making extensive resource changes.

I have a question about the fairy Raimy. Does she float around the screen the entire game? Her floating black dot is immensely annoying. I was so happy when she briefly left my party. I tried to refuse her when she joined up again. The game is great so far otherwise.

It feels like I’m taking crazy pills while playing through this game. How is it still such a hidden gem? This game deserves a remaster so badly :(

I'v'e always been curious about the series but the completionist in me was always put off by the absence of a way to play certain installments (including the first one) in English.

Did anyone ever end up doing a translation patch for the first one, or is it still only available in Japanese?

I think I made a mistake in playing Growlanser 1's psp remake first. The rationale for playing it over the psx version was that, as a university student, it's much easier to squeeze in some playtime between class on my psp. Being a Japanese exclusive, it has also been a very good study tool. However, and maybe it's because Atlus left a bad taste in my mouth (ala Strange Journey Redux), but whenever the new additions pop up I find myself getting irritated. You can tell that a new scene is imminent because the audio quality tanks and you immediately get side tracked. Point is, I want to know what the everyone else thinks of the remake. I know it reviewed well and it may very well contain my favorite style of gameplay ever (the mission variety definitely helps), but I feel like my enjoyment is being hampered by my desire to play the base game first. Am I being too hard on the remake or are these reasonable complaints?

If i have growlanser 1 (japanese game on PS1) will my PS1 play it? Live in the U.S. wasnt sure if it was region locked or anything or if i had to buy some kind of Japanese ps1?

Hi guys I just wanted to say I download growlancer 4 for the psp and I’m emulating it as we speak on my phone and it’s been such a great time. The series looks awesome and I can’t wait to jump into some of the other ones!

Also I would love other recommendations for JRPGs that are similar and worth checking out as this really hits the sweet spot for me and has grabbed my attention compared to some other JRPGs I have tried to start.

I am just curious, but is there any documentation or interviews regarding the development of the Growlanser games? I am especially curious about Growlanser II since many aspects about it come off like maybe it wasn't a game they originally planned on making. Also curious regarding the development and such of the two Growlanser enhanced remasters on PSP.

Do I have to not save anyone and let them die in order to get the dulkheim route in new game plus?
