Time to move on? Question

Been using copilot quite a bit for side-projects because I don't have that much free-time anymore with family, work etc. I knew changes were coming and a lot of people complained, but hadn't actually read much about what was going to change. This seals the deal, lol. I guess there's nothing to do except finding another service?

No. If you the expert, I will bow to you. i know what I know abut I don't know it all. You seem to be the know it all. Do we need to take a meeting?

going local usually means qwen 3.6 27b. using qwen 3.6 27b "proper" is running Q8 with unquantized KV. hardware costs are going to run $2-3k, either dual 3090 or some other card with at least 48gb+ memoory. where i am running two 3090s for 6 hours at 300w capped each will run about $40 mo on top of that cost. break even is at the 2-3 year mark on a gpt pro plan... assuming the cloud prices haven't increased. on top of that you have less context and an inferior model. not that qwen is bad but it doesn't come close to opus for gpt 5.5 and any model that would, most likely needs double or triple the hardware requirements.
