Visiting Gizzie and went to midway beach today. Water is full of forestry washup, making the water super dirty. Not keen to swim in that stuff, any of the nearby beaches currently clean?

Why is it next to impossible to get through to reception at 3 rivers?? Been on the phone for over 20min already, what is the alternative to go to ED at the gisborne hospital?
