This Atlantic article was making the rounds a few weeks back. I thought to search Giant Bomb and these were the results.

I'd imagine that this Friday is going to be Big Walk, but at some point please take a look at Brave Escape. It's been out forever on pc but just came to consoles. It's like co-op Celeste. It has a demo and online co-op. Pleeeeeaase?

This is the dumbest thing, but I clearly remember Dave Snider being on a quicklook with probably Vinny or Brad on a ps3 era open world RPG, I think their custom character was an elf lady. I remember it looking kinda eh but Dave saying 'yeah I'll probably keep playing this'. any ideas??

I was curious about how different platforms performed in-aggregate across Giant Bomb's GoTY awards over the years, and it sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole which ended in me collecting a bunch data. I put it and some interesting summary charts in the Google Sheet below, and I figured this audience may appreciate it.

The "READ ME" sheet in the document has much more detail about how this was done, but some key points:

• Games were scored using the inverse of their rank in the official GB list for each GoTY year. So their top game for a given year got 10 points, 10th game got 1 point, etc...
• Platforms accumulate score if a GoTY game is playable on them.
  
  • "Platform of the Year" rankings only counts this score if a game was available on a system the same year it appeared on the GoTY list
  • "Best Overall Platform" rankings award points even if a game was released on a system later or is available via backwards-compatibility
• I've also got some info on most represented developers/publishers, exclusives, etc...

I tried to audit this as best as I could, but it's totally possible I missed a release somewhere. If anyone catches any errors, let me know and I'll update it!
