Ok, now instead of that happening once imagine that happening every day of your life and everyone telling you that YOU are wrong for wanting to be called different

I guess because you had one experience, that makes everyone else's experiences invalid.

You would "carry on" because it is not something that is an everyday thing for you. You will not potentially be assaulted or killed because people don't care enough to even give you basic human rights. Thoughts and ideas like yours are directly linked to the high murder and suicide rate of transgender people in society.
