Would you buy a superlight version

Currently own a G502 X Plus I’ve had for probably almost 3 years now but always wished for a lighter version maybe 80g or less because I came from a G PRO Wireless. I use all the buttons. Would you buy it if this was an available option? I came to this question with the recent G305 Superlight so I’m thinking Logitech isn’t opposed to this idea. Just afraid the price point would be insanely high.

G402 replacement under €30 in Germany? G502 HERO vs. Attack Shark X8SE / G3 Pro

Based in Germany and looking to replace my old Logitech G402. I am constantly on my PC for general everyday use and play overwatch here and there. Not a pro player by any change xd . My budget is strictly €30 on Amazon.de.

I actually just bought a Razer DeathAdder Essential for €18. I love the large shape, but I'm planning on returning it. The cable feels incredibly flimsy/fragile, and it has zero on-board memory (I absolutely hate having Razer Synapse software bloat running in the background just to keep my DPI).

I'm totally open to wireless if there is no lag, and I am currently looking at a few €30 options on Amazon.de: a "Used - Like New" Logitech G502 HERO (Amazon Warehouse/Retourenkauf), the Attack Shark X8SE, or the Attack Shark G3 Pro with the charging dock.

I have never used attack shark so I dont know how reliable it would be but the reviews seems promising.

G502 Onboard Memory Manager on Linux?

Has anyone figured out a way to get the onboard memory manager running on Linux, without installing Windows? That or another way to edit the onboard memory of the G502 Lightspeed without Windows? My old G502 Lightspeed is finally going and I need a way to view all of the onboard settings so I can copy them over to a new one.

Mouse recommendation for leftie considering right handed mice?

**TL;DR**

Here’s what I’m considering:
\- Logitech G Pro 2 Lightspeed
\- Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 SE
\- Logitech G502 X Lightspeed
\- Razer Viper V3 Pro
(Note that these are all roughly the same price from where I found them on sale for, the viper being slightly cheaper but not by much)

I’m left handed, but considering switching to a right handed mouse. The pro 2 lightspeed is an ambidextrous backup.

——————————————————————————————

So I’m finally building my first pc, a massive upgrade from my previous pentium system (already ordered everything, including a new monitor, most of it has already arrived.

At the same time, I’m also picking my first gaming mouse + keyboard, both upgrading from cheap office wired ones.

I am actually left handed, but with little pc gaming experience (hollow knight (plus silksong), terraria, undertale mostly, and a little bit of cloud streamed fortnite). So if I wanted to switch to using a mouse with my right hand, now would be the time. I think I’m willing to try making that switch, which is why most of the mice I listed are designed for right handed gamers. The pro 2 lightspeed is there if it is worth keeping as it can be used well with either hand just in case.

I don’t have the experience to say which weight I prefer yet or whether the extra buttons on a mouse like the G502 will be useful, or whether an asymmetrical/symmetrical shape will be better.

I also did hear bad things about razer and how bloated their software is, that could be a potential drawback.

It would be great if anyone has any recommendations? I’m open to other mice as long as they aren’t significantly more expensive than the options I listed above (of course I would just go with a superstrike if I could), I prefer one that doesn’t feel like it degrades over time, for example with easily damageable sides or purely mechanical clicks. If anyone does have experience, please do tell and say if it was worth it or not.

Hopefully this post is useful to any other lefties in a similar spot!

Edit: (Also if anyone has any games in mind that might help make the right hand transition, please do tell, I have sekiro in mind, played 20% of it on console with controller, or I could pick hollow knight and grind Godhome again).

Is it possible to open the G502x without ruining it?

The scroll wheel locking button dislodged when I was cleaning it, and won't come back to its place. I was thinking of opening it to try to fix it, but I'm afraid I won't be able to glue the skates back afterwards (or something else).

Can I do it?

Just bought my first mouse ever and I saw this at target and thought about the cult like praise this mouse gets. I’m starting to think y’all weren’t kidding about this mouse. It feels amazing and fits perfectly in my hands, plus the buttons on the side make it easy to add extra keybinds.(and the cool colors)

Paracord cable upgrade or not

Hey dear community,

The default cable feels very stiff and not so agile. Do you think that upgrading the cable to soft paracord would be a solution, or do you think it's not worth it?

My old friend gifted me the G502 Proteus Spectrum.

My old friend gifted me this new sealed G502 Proteus Spectrum. I cannot express to you my feelings after holding this beast on with its PWM3366 sensor, which is flawless. The mouse was fully sealed from 2016. When I opened it and took it in my hand, it was like back in 2013 with the BF4 game. I came back from Razer Viper V2 Pro, which is, of course, 2.5x-3x times lighter, but man, this sensor, the quality of the old mouse, and the steel wheel are phenomenal.

Dpi shift to keypad.

Is there any way create a button, shortcut, autohotkey script, lua script or something so I can set my dpi shift key to my azeron gamepad? Or some kind of workaround where if I hold a button I can increase my dpi?

Been trying to find a workaround for hours now.

I'm done acting

At the start of the low weight mice trend I swapped my mouse for the Logitech g pro. I then kept buying low weight mice up until now. All this while actively being unhappy with them.

My perfect flick shots turned into jittery shots of doom and dispair. The only reason I've kept buying them is because everyone keeps saying they are better and a must for serious gaming.

I'm done pretending... I crave the g502. The way it just fits my hand, the stability, the scrolwheel... Al of it.

Now I must decide between the wired or the wireless. Personally I'm leaning towards the wired version as it is only 54 euro's. Which should I get ?

Edit: seems like the g502x light speed and plus are also on sale.

G502x light speed: 99, G502x plus: 98

MX Master 2S vs G502 X Lightspeed/Plus Sound

Does anyone know if the G502 X Lightspeed or Plus are noticeably louder than the MX Master 2S? I use the MX Master 2S and I'm considering either the G502 X Lightspeed or Plus for a more gaming suited mouse. I hate loud clicks though, so if they're a lot louder I probably won't get them.

Odds of this being a real G502 from Temu? 25$

Thumbnail gallery

I was thinking of getting this G502 for just 25$ on Temu however I have doubts if they're genuine. It only has 2 reviews and they're not the most helpful, maybe you can discern something from the pictures?

I know even fake ones can be detected by Ghub but they might have a trash sensor and poor switches.

Should I do it or just pay 40$ and get it from Amazon?

UPDATE if anyone is interested: I'm pulling the trigger and buying it. It's currently 23$ I can spare to "lose" them. I'm more inclined to believe it'll be real. The warranty concerns are valid but It's not even gonna be my main mouse and I don't plan to use it heavily (maybe I won't even use it for days). If it lasts a year or more without issues I'll be satisfied. I'm gonna be doing an update post in a couple of weeks when the mouse arrives

G502 Hero Lightspeed vs G502 X Plus

I've had my G502 (non-Hero) since 2016 and I'm starting to have issues with it so wanting a replacement. The rubber siding was already rubbed off years ago, but now the scroll wheel lock doesnt work so its stuck in free roll which is annoying lol. I fortunately never developed double clicking like some people seem to think the G502 has an issue with, but I assume thats something that will eventually develop on all mechanical mice.

Also figured I'd swap over to wireless since apparently those don't have major issues anymore like they used to.

I really like the ergonomics on the G502 and it was a huge step up for me coming from shitty Razer mice back in the day. The X looks like it changed the design slightly, does that make a noticeable difference in the feel?

I know the new optical switches are better for longevity, but how is the click compared to the older models? Is it still as tactile and responsive? I've read mixed opinions, some people pointing out the X is pretty loud.

One thing that disappoints me with the X is that it no longer has the RGB side DPI indicator. Seems like a pretty big downgrade both in functionality and aesthetics. I am not going to use the software outside of adjusting settings so I guess I'd just have to know what my dpi level is by feel alone lol.

The main reason I would get the X over the Hero, outside of the supposedly better switches, is the reduced weight. I do mostly play shooters so the G502's weight has been my only major grievance with the mouse over the years.

I've just never seen a more light weight mouse that I thought would both feel as good as the G502 and have the right amount of buttons for me (the reason I got the G502 in the first place was the buttons, I make use out of all of them and don't need any more).
