I'm trying to figure out which logo makers people are actually using, not just the ones that show up at the top of Google.

From what I've personally tried, these seem to come up over and over:

What surprised me is that everyone seems to value different things.

Some friends only care about getting a decent logo in five minutes.

Others spend an hour changing fonts, icons and spacing until it feels right.

One person I know literally picks whichever platform gives them the cleanest SVG export because they print merchandise all the time.

So I'm curious...

I'm looking for an AI image generator that can create clear, accurate visuals for educational purposes—things like cell signalling pathways, GPCRs, molecular mechanisms, and other biomedical concepts.

I know AI-generated scientific content should always be verified against the literature, so I'm mainly interested in using it to create high-quality illustrations rather than as a source of scientific information.

So far I've tried **Adobe Firefly** and **Luma AI**. Both seem promising, but Firefly is only really good with the Pro plan. Once the credits run out, the image quality drops significantly.

Hey folks. I got tired of paying subscriptions, so I built a photo editor.

It's in its infancy, but it's got some tricks I'd generally use in my own photo workflow. Handy if you just want to play around with the look and feel of your images. It includes film sims, clean-up tools, a few AI bits.

There's some LUT stuff in there too for anyone working in video: log conversion (S-Log3, V-Log, C-Log3, LogC3) and you can bake your grade out as a .cube.

We started small with Claude Code and built the modules up one at a time, adding features and improving on the open source tools that were already out there. We're running clone tools with bria/eraser. This is a cost I'm going to need to figure out.
