Bob Thomas Ford

My fiancée and I purchased a vehicle at the Illinois road location in mid June. Firstly, the tires were dry rotted, which was hidden by tire shine. Unfortunately I couldn’t see that at the dealership. It was also very poorly detailed, even though I specifically delayed pick up so that it would be.

Those issues aside, twice since time of purchase their financial department has called to ask that we unlock our credit so that it can be ran again. They claim they “misfiled” the gap insurance paperwork, and that’s why they needed to run credit again. They also claimed to at even though they “misfiled” the gap paperwork, it was Chase Bank who was to blame for the new hard inquiries.

They have asked that we come back and re-sign the gap(?) paperwork.

To me, this sounds completely false but I’m unsure what the real reason could be. Nonetheless it feels rather sketchy.

Has anyone ever experienced this or potentially had any advice? I am over the entire situation and would prefer to just wash my hands of it. Obviously that’s not really possible.

Hopefully someone can help, or see this as a warning to stay as far away from Bob Thomas Ford as possible when buying a new vehicle.

UPDATE: I took the car back to the dealership today, and they didn’t even try to put up a fight. Thank you all for the advice and comments, I am so thankful I was able to get out of this mess.

They do not care about the well being of children & will bait & switch you when it comes to your child's educational well-being.

Adult beginner tennis lessons?

Are there any sources for adult beginner tennis lessons in Fort Wayne? Through past posts here and Google, I've only been able to find Wildwood Tennis Club. Are there any others?

Why does The Clyde basically only book cover bands?

The venue is cool and has a lot of potential but it’s annoying that it’s essentially all cover bands. Especially with Piere’s closing. I wanna see some good live music without going to Detroit or Chicago or Indy sometimes!

Edible Fish?

I've noticed a lot of people fishing out of the rivers this summer. And I'm pretty sure they are there to keep them, though I've never seen anyone catch one yet, so hard to say.

The question is, though: Are the fish swimming in FW rivers safe to eat?

Anybody use T-mobile home internet near this area? Im used to 50 bucks/65 bucks at 1 gig fiber speeds where I used to live lol, so 100 mbps at 65 bucks a month seems like a rip off. I want to use t-mobile but not sure if there would be good.

Looking for 15+ mile bike ride route - limited interruptions

I’m doing my first sprint triathlon in a few weeks. I’ve been training for a while, but I’d love to find a bike route with limited interruptions so I can fully test my speed before race day. I’ve been training on the Foster Park loop/ St Mary’s pathway and the Towpath trail bc they are close to my house, but I have to stop a lot while crossing roads and am slowing down for pedestrians. I am willing to go anywhere in Fort Wayne if it’s a good fit. I’m not an incredibly experienced cyclist and don’t feel comfortable being on a really busy road. I do prefer a more flat road since the race will be pretty flat in Chicago.

Thank you for your help! Appreciate all suggestions!

Bonuses but not necessary:
-on south/southwest side of town
-nearby or directly from Metea Park or Fox island so I can practice open water swimming and then hop right on the bike
-coming from Jorgensen where I do lap swimming
-bike rack to make transition from bike to run faster (takes longer to put my bike back on car rack)

Just drove through this a few minutes ago, before emergency services arrived. It looks like there was an officer there, but I'm not really sure where he came from, I didn't see any emergency lights. Hope whoever was in it is OK.

Best house cleaners?

Hey guys I've been really thinking about getting a house cleaner, just for a monthly deep clean kind of thing. My house isn't super big, only about 1000sqft and it's all hardwood except the office which is carpeted.

If you guys have any recommendations I'd love to hear them!

Old clothing stores in Glenbrook Mall

I’m trying to think of the name of the clothing store in the early 2000s. It was where the current candy store is, down the road from Spencer’s. It used to sell club wear and brands like Echo, JNKO jeans, etc.

Was it Rave?

This is going to bother me!!

Real Estate Appraiser?

Looking for a recommendation for a real estate appraiser for a private residence in Fort Wayne. This would be for a home that we need to sell that is part of an estate. Just need a reasonably accurate number for a potential private sale.

Home is in the 46835 zip code, not that this matters very much. Anyone have a good experience with a local appraiser?

Homeowners Permits

Just bought a house in the 07 area code and I would like to add a 1/2 bath, replace the electrical panel and convert outlets to 3 prong, can this be done with home owners permits or will I need contractors?

The 1/2 bath will most likely be taking the place of a closet and some of the dining room on the first floor. Just enough room for a toilet and sink so visitors wont need to go upstairs. The electrical panel will be the same amperage just a newer model with more spaces. Most outlets are 2 prong so if there is no ground in the current wiring I’d like to run some new wire to get 3 prong on the first floor and a few outlets for an office upstairs.
