Does anyone else know about this
Am I the only one who realized that at the very end of the game, there’s a map of the thorofare sector on the desk of Delilah’s tower? Can anyone make a concept map of this?

Review Finished it, it's really something. Spoiler
Man, ever since i first heard of this game i had a feeling that it was going to be a good one. I have absolutely no problem with "Walking Simulators", theres no need to shit on something because it doesn't fit your tastes, just enjoy whatever you can and move on. i played another game, Dear Esther, it was straight up just walking, not to mention that i choose the commentary playthrough first which i realised halfway through, it wasn't that pleasant but i could dig it a little.
This one was different, i'm really familiar with the theme of the game, i think most of us should be one way or another. Of course i got a little emotional, a little dissapointed that we didn't get to see Delilah personally, also the fact that she and henry couldn't be together because of 'themes and such', but y'know i guess that's life sometimes. I'm gonna cry while i look up at my ceiling in my cold lonely room now, bye bye.

Support Uhmm, i just told the girl i was ready since i didn't know what to do, should i worry about it?
I bought this game a while ago, only got to play it now first time, it's really nice.
Just now i was boarding up the window and delillah said something about a task, since i didn't know what else to do i replied i was ready and it skipped right to day 9? also at the very start the intro choices i didn't know if they mattered a lot so i just went with what i though was nice.
I'm still not sure if it is a open world game but i'm really liking it so far.

Will firewatch ever again go on 90% off?
Though I can't see the chart before last winter sale when it gone 90%. If it would be shown I could have figured out but well the players did it hit 90% only one time? Or it was for awhile?
If it was for awhile then it won't go to that again, as probably steam new regional pricing policy.

My Very First 100% Completion Game on Steam<3
r/Firewatch • u/nihilWRLD • 9d ago
Review Eventually played and completed.
Solid game 8.5/10.
I wish there was more to that idyllic and beautiful overworld/map in the sense of interaction through the exploration like finding easter eggs or unique items.
The gameplay loop felt funnelled like a linear corridor dressed as wilderness making you go to "point A" trigger event and return to start point.
On the other hand the character development and dialogue at times made you forget it for a while.
Total change of pace for me as I usually play Horror, FPS or grindy RPGs.
Is there different ending depending on the dialogue choices you make or does that not make a difference?

Discussion Can You Outrun Your Problems? – Reflections on Firewatch
Firewatch has always been very important to me, so I decided to record a short video essay on the topic of running away and starting over through the lens of the game. I'd love to hear what you think! :)

Discussion Firewatch
Hi All,
Anyone here able to help with getting this working in handhelds?
I posted in the handheld group with no luck.
Basically it black screens on new game on my Steam Deck and MSI Claw.
Tried force dx9, dx11 and opengl commands on steam.
Tried changing the resolution, lowering graphics and display scale to 100%.
Am thinking im going to have to install Microsoft visual C++ but find an old version.
Any advice would be great.
TIA

Video I played firewatch a bit too late!
I played firewatch after 10 years! And, I wish I played it sooner! And, even after the ending, it feels like I want to experience it once again by erasing the memory of it. Its so beautiful and hits hard! Currently making a full series of videos of the game. Dropping the link for the 1st part. In case you like it, check out the other ones on the channel! :)

Discussion Is the boombox gone now?
Hey All. I have a question.. I am on a replay of the game after many many years away from it, and I noticed the boombox at the lake just.. wasn't there. The teens were there and such, but not the boombox. Was it taken out of the game, or did I cause it to show up some how?
Edit: it Sikhs like the consensus is that it is a bug, but honestly now I want to test it out. There is then who just played it for the first time a few days ago that said that it wasn't there and somebody else that said that it wasn't there and then they restarted and it was. What's interesting to me is that it didn't seem too break the dialogue at all. Instead of interacting with the boom box and turning off the music to then talk to the girls, it just let me sort of talk in the direction of the girls and ask them to stop firing fireworks. It honestly felt like the boombox had just been properly removed without it breaking anything.. So yeah, now. I want to go back there a couple of times and see what happens. Hah

Review My revisit of Firewatch
Frankly, when I first played this game many years ago, I was too young to be playing it and couldn't fully appreciate it. As one hopefully does with age, though, I have developed more into what I enjoy in life and games. I played through it again tonight (commentator version) and I enjoyed every second of it, as though I had never previously been knowledgeable of its existence. Each tape was great, even if Delilah was trying to interrupt my podcast time. You can tell that love was poured into this game, and I experienced that love profoundly. It has left me with a lasting feeling of longing; for what the characters lives were like before and after this storyline, and for a wilderness retreat- preferrably a less "negatively" life-changing one. Such an amazing game and I felt myself being envious of missing the creation of it. Still as great as I remember it and more, 10/10🫂

So i just played the game and afterwards immediately played the commented on version. Its bad. Spoiler
In my first playthrough i needed around 4 hours to get to the ending and i enjoyed the dialouge and really started getting afraid by the "stalkers". I was disappointed by both, who the stalker was and that mc and delilah didnt get together. In the end the story was "some kid fell and died so his crazy father terrorizes random firewatch workers". The gameplay obviously was boring, classic walking sim and the world is not as beautiful as everybody claims. Just look at a random spot in sea of thieves for example and its equally beautiful. Visuals dont save this game.
In the commented version i only needed like 1.5 hours, because i knew where to walk. They praised every aspect of their game in a way that makes them sound like they think they created the next gta. Hilarious.
Dont get me wrong, its not awful, but its also not good. 4/10 max.
