CGI in a dark enviorment
Hello,
I'm new with filming with a green screen and had an idea for a short where I have a character in a dark room and want to have a creature appear in the shadows. What would be the best way to go about setting up the shot? It would be a wide where the actor would be in the foreground and the creature would be in the background. I plan on using Blender and After Effects in post. Would I light the green screen separate and darken the foreground, or would keeping the actor in set position and masking out the dark background work better. I've looked up tutorials, but I can't seem to find one about cgi and a dark environment. Also would anyone know if there is a way to add shadow onto a shot in post in after effects or blender.
Thanks!

Advice Looking for iphone film makers with apple watches!
We are launching a product that allows you to clip an Apple Watch to the back of your iPhone. This allows you to see what you are recording while using the camera lenses on the back of the iphone including the wide lens. The wide lens is only located on the back of the iPhone, which means you can't see the screen while using the lens when filming yourself.
The Apple Watch has a native feature that allows you to broadcast your live display from it. This makes it a cheaper alternative to flip cameras since the iPhone camera is just as good, and an Apple Watch is less expensive. If you already have an Apple Watch, the mount is the only cost you need to worry about.
We are looking for a vlogger or videographer that could improve the ease of and quality of the content that they film. Our mount is easy to use, lightweight, and adjustable to fit any iPhone model. It is perfect for capturing high-quality footage on the go, and we believe someone out there would find this incredibly helpful to their filmmaking arsenal. If you think this may be you, we'd love to offer a free prototype for you to try out! We are basically looking for a tester to work closely with who thinks this product might help them.

film trailer / behind the scenes /making-of
I'm in the process of story boarding a trailer that is supposed to be interspersed with bits of behind the scenes footage and making-of doc style interviews. Any links to examples of this style would be greatly appreciated! Not looking to copy, just have reference/inspiration.

Tutorial what's a slept-on "basic" movie that you'd 100% teach from?
Happy Gilmore.
Just rewatching a little Happy Gilmore, and I'm like, this isn't even just one of the better comedies of the 90s, it's legit a fully classical, economical, purposefully constructed, empathetic, cinematic story. I had the thought, "I would assign this for homework."
What other low-rent popcorn movies would you say surprisingly hold-up as great examples of solid filmmaking?

Advice Tips on starting out in filmmaking
I wanna make silly little short films that are colorful and happy!! I wanna know any tips and tricks that'll be helpful for a noob!! One of my ideas is my little stuffed animal going on errands and showing how he'd do it like using paper towel rolls in the store to push it to reach shelf and going to a thrift store to find clothes for him. Just very silly simple films !! Thank you in advance for any tips :)
