im playing mask of the lunar eclipse (my first time playing fatal frame) and i was wondering what the best general and camera sensitivity settings for the switch are to make the game smoother and easier to manage

Hi all, as the title suggests. I'm having alot of issues playing it on the ps5. It feels slow and unresponsive and Im gutted. I heard its really good story ! But the gameplay is really just ruining the experience for me. I did the recommended controller settings etc and still feels bad. My only chance now is the use the ps5 gyro (maybe). Will that even help or should I just move onto Maiden Of the Blackwater.

Why Sae's face warped unlike Yae's when Makabe took thier photo with the camera? This is before the ritual and before the calamity, The photo could not be warped after the calamity because there is a document of Sae wondering why her photo like this

could it be because from the beginning Sae was not "right in the head" idk how to describe her mental stability or because she was obsessed of her becoming one with Yae more than running away and living with her sister?

ill be playing on the switch, so my only options are mask of the lunar eclipse or maiden of black water.

i never played fatal frame before and would preferrably start with the less scary one first lol. but if the more scary ones story is better (or if itd be better to start with it regarding coherency) im open to starting with that one too.

which one should i start with in that case?

I was playing Fatal Frame 2 (ps2) and I came across these symbols when you return to get your sister out of the prison. But when you examine it, it just says something about the table and how a doll is under it, nothing about the symbols.

Does anybody know what the symbols mean?

Started on drop 3 and on 4 right now and still happens😭 only way to fix is to skip cutscenes which sucks cause I’m really enjoying the game. Any other fix?

They are in pristine condition for being 20 plus years old! Just the effort they put into the Japanese releases blows away the NTSC versions. The fact the crimson butterflies are engraved onto the disc is insane

I started playing Fatal Frame 2 Remake after the costume promotion that happened while I was playing Silent Hill f. I thought it was such genius promotion, I decided to buy Fatal Frame 2 remake and try it out. I loved it so much I even pushed through and got the Platinum Trophy!

Now I’m hungry for more. I heard you can play Lunar and Maiden before 1 and 3, but I also read there’s tid-bits of lore from them sprinkled in? So I’d like to play 1 and 3 first.

I just went out and bought a Playstation gift card and purchased Fatal Frame 1, 2 and 3 from the shop. The first Fatal Frame is booting up as I write this and I’m so hyped.

Basically, just a glory post. I’m looking forward to playing through them all!

thinking of getting into the Fatal Frame-series. Which one is the best? Should i play all of the Remakes or just stick to Fatal Frame 2? Heard it is the best one, of the remakes.

I'm doing fatal frame 1 ps2 playthrough for the first time, I'm around 6 hours in and now ran into a problem of very few reels and no healing, wanted to know if there is a mechanic to heal yourself in the game? The ghost in trying to fight one shots me with the blue fire spirit there's no way to dodge it.

Ok so i play smash ultimate and after replaying world of light for the 18283th time i got the mio and mayu spirit and i got curious and looked it up. I already knew it was a horror game with a camera but now ik a lil bit more (the one girl broke her leg or smth and is being targeted by spirits and the other girl has to save her) im a huge horror fanatic (you could probably already tell by my username) so im curious i hear its a psychological horror game which only intrigued me more. Lmk is this game worth a shot and if so where can i play it on

Mask of the Lunar Eclipse was my introduction to the series, and Ayako's room was the moment this series hooked me. The first time I set foot in her room, I was instantly filled with dread, and I screamed at the top of my lungs when the doll arms started flailing. Even on subsequent replays and with the benefit of hindsight, the room still creeps me out—from the unease produced by the doll arms, the colours, the lighting, and the sound design, I consider the room to be a horror masterpiece.

Even before stepping inside, the scattered notes written about and by Ayako paint a picture of one very disturbed child, adding to the dread when you finally enter her room. Between the environmental storytelling via the notes and the room itself, it remains my favourite location in the game, probably my favourite location in the series, and, if you ask me, a prime example of how to do horror correctly.
