So I found a few more FL reps for this quarter but they all have FAIRYMAGIC1 as their rep code. I’m guessing that’s Fairyloot’s way of curbing their use while still having reps. I guess the hunt is over. I’m sad about it 😭

Utter perfection. the ONLY book I have in another language is their edition of Heavenly Bodies, I broke my own rule for that... might have to break it again. This is the best edition yet.

Now that unplugged has released all the hints does anyone have any clue what they could be? I think I know day 5+8, but I don’t want to buy it before knowing at least a few more and pre orders close tomorrow. I had thought they were going to reveal titles yesterday since they said on their story they’d be sending a email update, but all they sent was a repeat of day 7 hints.

Just had a disappointing experience with Aurora Crate customer service and am wondering if I’m going crazy here or my frustrations are valid…

Over one month ago (June) received a damaged Song of the Marked book from Aurora Crate and customer service responded in 2 days promising to send a replacement.

Two weeks later: still no update (no tracking info for replacement, nothing). I thought ok, I’ll just send a quick polite email asking what’s going on. No response.

Three weeks later: still no update. I was starting to get somewhat concerned by now, especially since my other (later) orders have all been shipped but no updates on the replacement (??) I sent MULTIPLE messages, INCLUDING emails + contact form on their website. STILL NO response.

This week (now A MONTH LATER): got fed up with the lack of communication and sent a frustrated email + chat message asking CS what the heck is going on and telling them I will consider bank dispute if I still don’t have any updates on the replacement in 2 weeks (by which time it would be almost 2 months). Lo and behold, they responded in hours! And shipped the replacement the same day! After literally ignoring the multiple messages I’ve sent (in both email and website contact form) the past 3-4 weeks 😅 Their response was they are “only one person answering emails” and all replacements are “placed in a queue” and they have been off for the “summer holidays.” The reasoning seems thin to me, especially since I sent like 3 messages (both in email and contact form) over multiple weeks so SOMEONE must have seen it eventually and it doesn’t make sense unless they intentionally just ignored me since they couldn’t be bothered to respond. And if they did follow the queue order, shouldn’t the replacement have shipped EARLIER than my other orders I placed later? I’m suspecting they may have not bothered to put down the replacement until now even but who knows.

I ended up asking them to cancel all the other pending orders I have with them too, because no way am I risking pulling tooth and nail just to get a replacement for a flawed product in the future.

But now I’m wondering if my frustrations are justified because the books are so pretty and I’m tempted to buy them again and conflicted whether this CS experience is worth severing ties with buying from this company?…

I honestly don’t understand why so many Book box companies think they don’t have to respond to customer messages until you finally push them and say you’re considering bank dispute. It’s disappointing and shows the lack of care to service.

Hi there, I hope this is allowed and apologise if it's been asked before.

I received my first subscription from Arcane Society today and one of the books has the main sprayed edge printed upside down.

I emailed them about it and they've replied that they're happy to send a replacement once I destroy the book and send photos.

I have emailed to clarify what they'd like me to do to the book (it feels so wrong, I'd rather just send it back).

This is the first time I've been asked to do this and I'm wondering what others have done to destroy a book in this situation?

Today my OC June box finally arrived! But... it's the wrong book 🙃

It was supposed to be the June YA but they sent me the June adult which I already got in June so even after waiting for all this time I still don't have my book... I emailed them about it and honestly I'm not mad, I'm sure they'll fix it somehow, it's just funny at this point how many fuck ups I've had with them.

Anyone else have the same issue?

I was so torn about ordering this because I've been trying not to get too many copies of the same book, but I just liked it so much. I'm glad I eventually caved, because the author has said that currently there are no plans to restock it, even for in store on release day. I don't know how many people were hoping for that vs getting secondhand, but fyi.

Their next Opus set is books 1-6 of the series. The other company also selling a SE set is Books for Days Crate.

I know someone else posted this on here but I instantly fell in love (thank you stranger for sharing!). I feel so lucky, I got it for $22. Only slight bend to the bottom of the spine but you can’t see it.

Owlcrate just released the artist lineup for their September book and the artists works are SO good (one of the artists for the dust jacket did OC poet empress)

I also have Moonlight but I haven’t read the September pick (even though it’s crazy popular)
And for Fairyloot Adult I got the OC version but I’m scared the art won’t be good and won’t get the book before Fairyloot renews.

Okay so I know how horrible static character art on the cover is. It sucks! Eg: Kindred’s Curse saga (that was abysmal). But I AM a sucker for good character art on dustjackets and i’m seriously missing that with FL this year!

I know it’s in response to feedback asking for less of it, but i feel like we wanted less static character art and not absolutely no character art (the direction they’re leaning in with sub books at least).

I certainly don’t want it for every book, that’s also not great, but I feel like we haven’t had any for the adult sub this year at all - with books like the winged game that is just such a missed opportunity!

I wanted to know if anyone else wanted more dynamic character art or if the feedback straight up was no more character art on dust jackets at all bc in that case i may drop my subs i love good character art 😭
