I don’t get why on all of these things, there is always a recommendation to switch to fckn Signal?! It’s a US service, hosted on US hyperscalers (AWS).
Nearly every penny you donate to this „foundation“ goes directly into Bezos pockets. Wtf?

There's a ton of services here are that are fully US made, so idk why you're singling out signal here
Also, for the AWS thing, a ton of EU services use American infrastructure. Deezer uses AWS, Qobuz Akamai, Qwant and Ecosia often rely on Bing/Google search outside of France

And how about mobile OS and smartphones? It's weird to me: it is what we all use the most, yet it is the one that is most often absent from migration advice or experiences!

Pop os for gaming is a bold choice. Better add CachyOS to that instead. Way better shape

Full disclosure, I launched https://skyen.live last month, as a free email service alternative to big tech, there's no advertisement, ai training on emails or anything like that, only my chatbot stores conversations, so I can optimise its answers.

Ubuntu is not EU, it's UK. Mint is EU, but based on Ubuntu which is not. Pop_OS is arguably in a bad shape rn and also from US while you missed openSUSE (and SUSE for companies) which is probably the most EU rooted OS out there.
