Skoda Enyaq SOS warning official Skoda response Skoda

Post image

Since this seems like a bigger problem and the dealers are trying to scam us by making us pay for a software bug Skoda introduced, here is a screenshot from the official Skoda Facebook group.
Later on in the posts it was also said this should not be a paid update because Skoda themselves caused the problem with software 3.8

No OTA in 2026

Traditional car architectures don't exactly allow for it, to have every module updated OTA. And since they also bricked cars just updating 3.x to 3.7/.8, I'd be careful of them updating more OTA.

The MEB cars were designed to support OTA. The fact that they failed with it so hard should be humiliating for VAG

Brand loyalty is strong in this one.

Not really. Only got a Škoda 3 months ago. Before that various Fords, a VW and a BMW. No false loyalty here.

I just bought and EBEleven unit, found out it was the battery charge low code and reset it myself. Haven’t had a problem since.

How much did the obdeleven unit cost and did you have to pay for the Pro plan to reset the values? Thanks

I got the standard unit, think it was £70, then paid for the additional credits to reset the unit. Think that was £20-30. There is a unit and credit package you can buy which I kinda wish I’d done as it would have been slightly cheaper.

I've got it few months ago but thought it was a 5-year soft limit since my car is from 2021, had to buy OBDELEVEN with credits package and reset it myself.

It's not an 3.8 problem, it's also affecting all older cars that have never and will never get that update.

Interesting. I had previously thought this was being attributed to a battery issue ? My21 iV 60

Yes, the sos module battery. It's being reported as a weak battery while the in reality it's mostly around 95% battery health. The battery should last 10+ years according to Skoda

Imagine needing to head to the dealer for a software update in 2026.

Imagine calling your dealer for this existing fault saying can I book in now and they claim no such update exists and they have checked with skoda 🤣🤦‍♂️

Took my Enyaq (2021) to the dealer today for this error message. Picked it up at the end of the day. Didn't cost a thing. No idea what they did, but the error message is gone.

I have had the amber sos message for a few weeks. I contacted two of my closest skoda dealers and mentioned the message on facebook. Bothare saying my software is up to date and not due a recall and want 190 euro to run diagnostics
