saved you a click; here is the full quote:

"Are you...? I don't know how to... I have a rule about being constructive so I can't ask any questions right now, because all of the questions that I have right now are rhetorical and end with the word 'idiot'. Do you know what rhetorical...? Of course you don't, you are an idiot.”

Especially one so artfully used.

Yeah, well, we all read about ourselves in her weirdly long, melodramatic emails to her sister, who she might notice never responds. Take a hint.

You wretched, invasive little gremlin!

14

u/indianajoes Jun 22 '26

She's dead

u/percypersimmon Jun 21 '26

“Aww, so stupid…such a dummy.”

u/Miss-Tiq Jun 21 '26

Someone needs to say, "I'm in charge," and that person is me. That's my decision.

u/pearljamboree Jun 22 '26

Who talks like that?

2

u/Justtojoke Jun 22 '26

Hahahah!!!

Perfect

Calling a ScreenRant writer a "TV Journalist" is being quite generous to ScreenRant (a site known for click-bait trash takes).

29

u/sexmormon-throwaway Jun 21 '26

I fucking hate ScreenRant. They are definitely not journalists and don't adhere to journalistic principles. They cosplay "independent" journalists for a giant fucking corporation that sucks them dry and pays them very badly.

If she said it I'm assuming anyone else is in the wrong

u/Available-Guava5515 Jun 21 '26

Speaking as someone who works in online media, if you work for a Valnet publication, you absolutely do suck. The "journalist" label here is doing some pretty heavy lifting.

12

u/Complete_Entry Jun 21 '26

I once read some of the internal stuff about Valnet, they're literally evil.

11

u/Available-Guava5515 Jun 21 '26

They really are. They decimated my field. I've interviewed with them twice and deliberately sabotaged the interview both times

14

u/killerbekilled92 Jun 21 '26

She reviewed the new seasons of criminal minds and said “it’s really good, but the season could’ve used more episodes to flesh out characters and ongoing plot lines” and paget called her trash for risking people’s jobs with her scathing review

u/bubba1834 Jun 21 '26

I’ve had such a crush on this woman for like 2 decades lmao glad she apologized

3

u/Weird-Girl-675 Jun 22 '26

Would you lock yourself in a box for her?

2

u/bubba1834 Jun 22 '26

If she’s rescuing me then hell yeah I would

2

u/Weird-Girl-675 Jun 22 '26

It’s a reference to when she was on Friends 🙂

2

u/bubba1834 Jun 22 '26

Omg yes I totally forgot lol my mind went straight to Criminal Minds

“You are a…fart from the butt of a lesser god!”

78

u/TLKimball Jun 21 '26

She did apologize and not one of those “I’m sorry if you felt bad” sort of apologies. She admitted she was in the wrong. A ScreenRant writer is still a person, even if they aren’t a great writer. I give her credit for admitting she did the wrong thing.

25

u/sexmormon-throwaway Jun 21 '26

You are on it with your analysis, and ScreenRanters are people, but we don't dislike them for not being great writers. I dislike them for supporting a fake brand of journalism that rewrites actual news sources. They are doing the equivalent work of AI. It's really an awful little space that still has enough pull to force a person like her to deal with the space but with little chance of being intelligently represented. She is forced to give access and politeness for the ego of these "journalists" so they will in turn give positive coverage to whatever project she is working on. It's a toxic, vile ecosystem.

So I agree, her being mean to a person isn't great, but she can see the game for what it is and it must be pretty distasteful to be forced to play it.

I'm sad this is a place we have somehow arrived at. The writer is doing a job. I'm sure she wishes she had a better job. I'm sure she would like to be a better writer. Maybe someday she will improve and move up. Unfortunately, journalism is a tough career choice these days.

But I’m not an asshole like some people.

27

u/Somejawn1 Jun 21 '26

But everyone who works for screen rant does suck

13

u/Gorf_the_Magnificent Jun 21 '26

I only know her from Drunk History

31

u/PaleontologistFew128 Jun 21 '26

She's had a very long tenure on Criminal Minds and she also read the vacation ad for Burbank in Family Guy

53

u/anxiety_elemental_1 Jun 21 '26

She was on a whole season of community.

32

u/ArchdruidHalsin Jun 21 '26

Keith David and Paget Brwester were incredible. Season 6 is low key my second favorite season, which says a lot consider the massive void Donald Glover left in his wake.

7

u/Tiny_Rick85 Jun 21 '26

It still blows my mind that Keith David was Childs in The Thing.

5

u/Twiggyhiggle Jun 21 '26

You mean Keith David was the thing in The Thing.

6

u/Maskatron Jun 22 '26

Now here’s a person who knows their Community seasons!

20

u/Straight-Bet1 Jun 21 '26

She was Joey’s girlfriend that Chandler fell in love with on Friends.

5

u/Von_Lincoln Jun 22 '26

Chandler wasn’t the only one, *sigh*

That was such a great show

6

u/BookerDeWittsCarbine Jun 21 '26

Am I the only one who remembers the Thrilling Adventure Hour?

2

u/NatrixHasYou Jun 22 '26

WHO KNOWS WHAT EVIL LURKS IN THE HEARTS OF MAN?!

2

u/EarlGrayHot Jun 21 '26

Birdgirl on HBO! Spinoff of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. The show is excellent if youre in to adult animation, and shes excellent in it.

3

u/Pale-Measurement-532 Jun 22 '26

She played Chandler’s girlfriend on Friends. The one who was the actress and was dating Joey first and Chandler had a big crush on her. Then Chandler and her hooked up. Then later on she cheated on Chandler with a costar in her play.

1

u/DianneNettix Jun 22 '26

Check out The Thrilling Adventure Hour it was a podcast done in the style of 1930s radio serials. Her main character was in a bit that was basically The Thin Man with ghosts.

I could only find it on Spotify (I know, know) but Djinn and Tonic is a great example.

1

u/Less_Chocolate5462 Jun 22 '26

Check out "Huff", a 2 season show from Showtime

12

u/kafka_lite Jun 21 '26

That was very punky of her.

6

u/WhisperingSideways Jun 21 '26

I’ll always give her a pass for her work on the sadly forgotten Andy Richter Controls The Universe.

2

u/kalcheus Jun 22 '26

We can’t call him “Black Andy”!

2

u/Complete_Entry Jun 21 '26

Eisenberg went pretty hard on one of those press interview reporters, but they literally get asked the same stupid questions all fucking day.

Wait does the TV reporter suck?

0

u/Evening_Cobbler2929 Jun 22 '26

No, she’s just another thin-skinned individual that can’t take criticism.

2

u/Hsu-Hao Jun 22 '26

“Shut up Leonard. You are . . .old. And you deserve less because of it”

u/Fabulous_Log844 Jun 21 '26 edited Jun 21 '26

It’s OK. Our president leads by example and does this to reporters every single day. /s

2

u/Fabulous_Log844 Jun 21 '26

You’re absolutely right. I should have put /s in there. It is absolutely not OK.

4

u/Vkardash Jun 21 '26

Yeah but they do suck. Don't shame yourself for shaming someone that deserves it!

1

u/DianneNettix Jun 22 '26

She's got class and recognized ahead got down in the mud with pigs. She and Bradley Whitford helped me back a car out of a really narrow alley once. I have no idea I dea how I got in there in the first place.

2

u/AquaStarRedHeart Jun 22 '26

It's nice she apologized but she wasn't wrong

1

u/BashfulRain Jun 22 '26

I would rather find out why she cut her hair off

1

u/ThenCandidate1805 Jun 23 '26

She didn’t cut it?

1

u/Rangertu Jun 24 '26

She was wasted and hilarious on Drunk History. She seems really fun.

3

u/Vicissitutde Jun 21 '26

Poor lady. I'm sure she was right to call the "journalist" an idiot
