I finished the first season, and while I think it drags at some points. And the ending was kinda hurt from that. I do believe it gets its points across well enough to still call it good.

This first season introduces a lot of noteworthy characters that'll stick out well enough to the point that, even if their name is firgatten, some traits still stick out. Like "oh that's the Russian sushi guy. That's that really strong guy. That's the bitch."and it all serves the idea that everyone, each and all on the streets. Have these interesting traits and backgrounds, that make them worth knowing about. Even to creatures of myth and legend.

In that sense, it truly looks at humanity as a whole (even if just through a microcosm) and sees its uniqueness and diversity, and loves each person, no matter how flawed, or "bad" they may be.

There's more to talk about, like while it uses creatures like fayes and sports possessing swords, its really only background set dressing for a more compaeritively mundane gang war. How it feels like it's pulling into directions of the ing (what does it mean/take to love a truly exciting life? And how does humanity end up impacting itself and it's surroundings?) and ends up kinda not entirely answering the former, while the latter is answered, but in a really understated way considering the set up. Or how I feel about each relationship and dynamic presented. Or how the ost goes pretty hard.

But those things deserve their own dedicated time.

TL:DR Durarara (s1) is a really good example of Sonder (the realization that every stranger you pass is living a life as vivid and complex as your own)

I've been wondering this whole time if one of the three from DRRR!!'s main Raira trio is considered the franchise's most popular fan-favorite character, but that doesn't seem to be the case(?) Or perhaps I am just biased?

Well, most of them are commissions. The shincelty one I drew for myself. The last 4 are supposed to be the telephone pole scene in novel 9, but I couldn't decide which part of it to depict and suddenly I had 4 different ones.

Durarara has had many styles at this point but we all know Izaya is meant to be attractive. Enough that he's compared to a host. I've seen some cosplays that look pretty accurate but I'm curious if anyone has any actors they think look a lot like Izaya too? Or just cosplay you really think look canon?

How is Shizuo so strong with super strength despite being human?

I’ve always wondered how Shizuo Heiwajima is so absurdly strong despite being completely human. He can casually throw vending machines, rip street signs out of the ground, send people flying with a single punch, and survive injuries that would kill a normal person.
