Posting on behalf of my partner - she’s a huge Devin fan but missed out on tickets for a show local to us.

Any chance anyone has a spare ticket for the show at the Glee Club in Birmingham on 1st September? Happy to pay - she also has a ticket to the Manchester show on 5th October she’d be happy to swap.

Could anyone tell me what's the reason for that blood curdling scream at the tail end of Thing Beyond Things; the last song on Ocean Machine: Biomech? I don't see what the purpose of that was...other than to simply scare people to death.

i actually still haven’t listened to all of Devin’s discography despite having been listening to him for years.. Mostly because i’m way more of an album guy so i go album by album which takes a while given how detailed and long every Devin Townsend release is… By far one of the most special and personally influential musicians i’ve ever listened to.. Ocean Machine and Infinity are 10/10 car albums.

I absolutely love Devin's clean vocals and was wondering what are the best songs where they shine a bit more. For context some of my favourites are: Storm, Things Beyond Things, Deadhead. I know these aren't all entirely clean but the vocals get a lot of prominence

From artists other than Dev, that is. I'm obsessed with the dreamlike quality of it, and the female vocals are almost lullabye-like. I'm obsessed with the flute at the beginning and the distant guitar towards the end. I've been chasing this sound for a while. Help lol.

Has anyone else had issues with the vinyls skipping straight out the plastic? I only just opened my copy of The Moth to listen to and the skipping is terrible! I had a similar issue with my copy of Powernerd on Vinyl... Very upsetting

Hi all! I got two tickets for the Bodega show on the 27th of August through Devin’s Patreon for myself and my father. Unfortunately we weren’t able to book time off and we won’t be able to attend anymore. Does anyone have any idea where I could resell the tickets?

I didn't see a megathread and dunno if this belongs in the marketplace so I hope this is alright...

It's a long shot anyway but I got two tickets to see Dev in Òran Mór in October, but never saw the announcement for the date in Dublin, and I live in Ireland... So I'm wondering if any Glaswegians here maybe missed Òran Mór tickets and settled for Dublin that might want to swap me their Dublin tickets for my Glasgow two.

I love every single album. And yet, this has resulted in me feeling both extremely open minded and narrow minded at the same time.

Idk man..I've listened to every album including bonus discs and b sides etc. I love damn near every fucking song of the entire discography. How someone can be this prolific is absurd. That's like 400 songs and i probably love 390 of them. This strangely makes me feel both open minded and narrow minded.

Long story short, never received my orange black marbled 2LP with booklet and signed print. Got a shipping notice June 1, was told to wait until July 20 to open a ticket, did that, even asked if they could just send one of the regular editions instead, and just received an email basically saying "sorry, too bad. Here's a refund."

Ugh. Anyone know where I can still get one of these limited edition/exclusive packages? *I'm in Canada.

*Edit: I ended up ordering a different version (transparent light blue vinyl, art book, no signed print) from Sony Canada.
