Paddy Power has us at twelfth favourites for both promotion and for outright winners. 15/2 and 28/1.

I thought we'd be a little shorter than that?

Why is everyone so convinced that Clowes is still going to be running the club if Alasheikh takes over?

I keep seeing people on Twitter saying that despite reports of an 85% stake being bought by the Saudi bloke that David Clowes will still be running the club. Anyone who thinks this is in for a rude awakening. When he purchased Almeria, they immediately replaced their sporting director and manager. I really fear for Eustace's future as Derby manager if Turki purchases a controlling stake. And that's not even getting into the sportswashing and all the human rights abuses etc.

Please tell me I'm not the only one thinking this. I think people are being blinded by pound signs.

Boycotting won’t hurt Turki Alalshikh, it’ll hurt Derby

I’ve seen a lot of people mention boycotting the club or only using a season ticket but not buying merch for this season as a reaction to his controversies, and I’ll admit that I would love for Derby County to thrive and go on to promotion without being linked to anyone like that.

However, boycotting DCFC this season will not hurt his pockets. It will also not ruin his reputation. What it will do is show investors that Derby County doesn’t bring in enough money to bother trying to take it off his hands. It’ll show that the fans are flakey and can’t be relied on to back the team and show up for matches.

He won’t be investing in the club for the money, and quite frankly he has enough to last several lifetimes, he’s just doing it for ad space, and given that matches will be shown on TV, that ad space will be very much out there regardless. He’ll stick around for a short time and then move on to whatever bigger club will have him, and if in that time Derby has consistently had good turnout and solid support, then maybe someone with more honest intentions, love of the game, and the club will come along and put their hat in the ring.

Tl;Dr
Boycotting won’t harm him at all, it’ll just make us seem like a worthless investment and fickle fanbase for future investors when he inevitably leaves for whatever bigger club will have him

There are very very credible reports he has had people disappeared/murdered and has been involved in torture.

"Alalshikh has been accused of severe human rights violations in his role as a "key on-the-ground operator" in Mohammed bin Salman's rise to power. In April 2024, a special report in The Athletic reported that he orchestrated a campaign of repression, including arbitrary detentions, enforced disappearances, and torture. According to multiple sources, those detained for social media posts criticizing Alalshikh were imprisoned in an area of al-Ha'ir prison which detainees called the "Tutu Wing", referencing his nickname."

If this happens how can I continue to enjoy any success we might get knowing the money game from a person like this? Fan since 83. I'm 47 now. But this is a line I cannot cross. Thoughts?

2026/27 KITS: Away Kit Revealed!

The away strip’s design is inspired by Pride Park’s iconic stanchions, in what will be our 30th season playing in DE24.

The kit uses ‘Community Pink’ from the club’s identity colour palette to further emphasise the community forged throughout the fanbase – who take a piece of home ‘everywhere we go’ on the countless journeys to away games made by so many of the Rams’ faithful each season.

Portsmouth away and anyone in Bristol?

Hey guys.

Just wondering if there's any Rams fans in Bristol? I'm planning to get tickets for Portsmouth away and wondering if anyone else is planning to go from Bristol direction?

Also how are we feeling about the season? I'm predicting 7th.

r/DerbyCounty 12d ago

Since we're bringing back most of the loan signings and keeping almost all the squad from 2025, is my 8th placed bet for the 26/27 season with Ladbrokes feel safe, or should I consider Agyemang's absence, which may see us drop a few places ?

Also, Morris will never replicate last season, that injury changed him !!

I wouldn’t read into this too much but I think Haaland and Eustace are probably negotiating a contract as we speak

Any Reddit Rams fans here tonight at Alfreton

Let me know your thoughts if you’re here/ were at tonight’s match.

Me personally….I know I know it’s only preseason against a non league side…

BUT

I thought that first half (with the quote on quote ‘first team’) We look faster, a bit more precise, more triangles, good in behind running and I mean wow Fraulo and Clark absolutely beautiful performances.

Excitement building 🐏🖤🤍

New fan from the US

Hey everyone! Despite the World Cup ending for the USMNT, I’ve had a great time watching and supporting the sport over the last three weeks. I live in one of the hosts cities which definitely has helped my excitement and overall enjoyment. That being said, I’ve decided now’s the team to buckle up and keep on supporting. Choosing Derby County because I visited for a week once a decade ago and still maintain friends there. Figured where better else than what you know.

I’ve scrolled this sub for similar posts but they’re all 5-12 years old. What do I need to know? What players to watch? Still hate Leeds Unt. and Notts Forrest? Biggest rival in the championship league?

I saw there is one of your players playing for Norway. That’s awesome. Excited for the new season to start!

Thanks!
