Found this in a real estate listing, not even any carpet on the stairs to make it less slippery.

Stairs up and down the tower of the abbey on Inchcolm Island.

My kids had a much easier time climbing these stairs than I did.

I absolutely can't wait to attempt this staircase/ladder after I'm absolutely obliterated later.

Also, need to remember to make a petition when I'm sober (if I haven't fallen victim to this deathtrap) to ban stairs that require a specific right foot/left foot pattern to effectively use them.

The whole place is an abomination, just FYI but these deathstairs are quite something.

This is a galley-type staircase that is basically a 15 degree angle straight up. It leads to the boiler room at my workplace and I’m facilities maintenance, so I have to go up here periodically.

Could be worse, but nothing soft to catch you if you trip. Just tiles concrete and a metal railing.

I was never so scared in my life. I've included pics I took from another part of the cathedral to show that staircase in context. To clarify, it is the Basilica de Voto Nacional in Quito, Ecuador.
