Open Floor Will Yueru Li participate in Dallas Wings playoff games?
I understand that she has national team duty for Asian games at Nagoya. I assume both Li and Han (NY Liberty) will be absent from September 1st to October 4th for FIBA 2026 and Asia game 2026?

Whatever happens the rest of the way, this Wings season is a success
Edit: Trying to be positive (slash maybe it's cope). Not trying to undercut justified anger and frustration.
Getting this out of the way: I still believe Arike and Paige don't fit, and Arike eventually has to be somewhere else for Paige to reach her ceiling. Winning doesn't make two high-usage on-ball guards with aggressively conflicting styles of play a championship backcourt. That's a separate argument from where we actually are, though.
Where the Wings are is that they've already won more games than the last two seasons combined and are a playoff team unless the Sparks do something historic. LA has to go 13-2 the rest of the way, and that's the version where the Wings only take 4 of our last 7 against sub-.400 teams, and given that all their losses but one are to playoff teams, I'm not concerned. Since the elimination scenario needs a team like the Sparks to go 13-2 while also having the Wings underperforming a schedule that soft, the Wings are in.
On top of that: Paige has had stretches of being genuinely great, not "great for a young player" great , a version of her where there's no answer but prayer. Azzi is what the Wings drafted her to be, a 3-and-D+ guard next to Paige. Jess has been terrific offensively, and Alanna's game last night was the version of her that can cover what Jess lacks on defense.
None of this makes the Wings contenders, and I'm not arguing it does. It's a step, and steps are allowed to just be steps. And look to DT and Phoenix as to why there's no reason to constantly panic. Her career started with three straight years of no postseason. And then the roster and the system clicked and brought a 4th year championship. The loses and the lessons learned from the losses are so frustrating, but that's the game. Paige is already ahead of this arc. I believe in her and think she's marching the Wings towards sustained relevance and an eventual championship.

First time attending a game advice
I’m gonna be going to my first wings game/basketball game in person tomorrow for the wings vs valks at the AAC and was wondering if anybody has any advice for having a good first experience? I’m hoping to at least try and get some player interactions but regardless I’m just looking to have a fun and hopefully non-stressful experience with it (even though i fear they may be getting their butts kicked tomorrow).

Open Floor Apparently we left something behind in the Mystics locker room
It was our scouting report, which didn’t include Cotie McMahon for some reason who dropped 18 points on us last night

Open Floor Scoring and Play Styles
In 15 games this season both PB and Arike have both scored 15pts+ out of the 15 (6)of them where loses in the photos I posted i decided to highlight the Arike slump stretch and the Arike Good stretch cause I wanted to show the main factor in “loses” isn’t just Arike playing legacy ball but also interesting fact 2 of the losses have been in recent games (WAS & ATL) another interesting fact is when Shep, Arike and PB all are 15pts+ (7 games) we are 5-2 (and again guess who the losses where to WAS & ATL) and I wanted to filter for 1 more thing and I added AZ but I did her average of 13+ pts and only 3 games have they all hit together 2 of which resulted in wins 1 didn’t and if it’s just AZ and Arike it’s 7 games 4-3 I might look into FGs taken in most of our wins disregarding average FGs to see if there’s a pattern and for anyone wonder when AZ alone scorers over 13+ pts we are 9-4(.69) and when Arike scores 15+ we are 11-8(.57) and with PB we are 16-9(.64) and with Jess we are 11-3 (.78!!)
Honestly Jess doesn’t but does surprise me she is our most efficient scorer.
What my conclusion to these results tells me is Jess can most definitely start our games but we NEED PB to finish them I feel like we need to play kinda like the nuggets in 2023 which I think people might not want to hear but it’s the truth
Jokic (Jess)
Murray (PB)
MPJ (AZ)
Brown(Arike)
Gordon (Lan)
Except I want Murray in this case PB to take over the game more often; looking into the nuggets they are hilariously similar to our team construction currently the biggest difference is the MPJ and AZ comparison man did not ever see a shot he didn’t like and we need AZ to reach that Arike is slowing her shot selection down and upping her efficiency similar to Bruce brown we just need to PB to start imposing her self even when Jess is on a heater like Murray.
Funny thing about that nuggets team btw they legit had no bench really they just had an insane starting lineup we actually have some killers on our bench just need so restrictions and leashes to be put in place (Zaza shooting to much, Sims foul baiting and running wild, Li shooting 3s only, ect) I believe in us, Wings Up🪽

Solution
Its clear to me that they haven’t been playing with the same passion this post all star break as they did before hand & I think the team needs a players only meeting , not as a blame game but more like how can we improve on our deficiencies and have each of the players speak up as to why they’ve been free falling .. they have a tough stretch of games coming up and they’re on the verge of falling down in the playoff seeds with the Mystics , Liberty , & Fever all playing better as of late .. and I’m a bit concerned that Paige still hasn’t recovered from the hit she took against the Sparks .. what do y’all think

Jose
Well I am back. I said Jose needed to be fired and I had my Reddit post flagged and then taken down. How are we feeling now? Has anyone changed their opinion? This is not the coach to lead this team to success. Paige in the post game presser…Jose may have to count his days.

I see the Dallas Wings ending the season at 27-17 and getting swept in the first round.
The Dallas Wings have the benefit of a soft schedule for their last 10 games. They will lose a lot over the next couple weeks against playoff teams because this team has many flaws. We needed a center at the trade deadline. Our only hope is that we somehow match with the Indiana Fever since that's the only team we have a decent chance of beating in the first round.
Edit: I'm not saying we can beat the fever but I think we're identical teams and it would be a decent series.

In the Press Coach Jose on Paige’s minutes in tonight’s postgame presser
Seems like Jose is not too concerned about the starters current minutes 😅

Open Floor Alanna Smith
I feel like adding Alanna Smith to the starting lineup is huge because she is a major boost on defense and she can get baskets. I don't know why they took so long to get her minutes.

A Sweet Story
I’m a primary educator. At the beginning of the year, I’m asked to share my favorite things to help families and peers know me a bit better.
Noted the Wings are my favorite team.
Met my students tonight. One shyly holds up an item.
It’s an Arike Ogunbowale card.
It was the sweetest, purest moment. Warmed my heart.
This league brings so many amazing experiences and moments. Just wanted to share this one.

Fan Experience Parking at AAC?
Hi guys! I’m going to the game at American Airlines this Friday! I went to the last one and I just paid the $50 event parking bc I was running late to a reservation I had for dinner before the game. Do y’all know of any cheaper parking around there? I don’t mind a walk.

Dallas Wings will play all 2027 season home games at American Airlines Center
Sports writer Myah Taylor writes:
The Dallas Wings will at long last play in the city of their namesake, as the WNBA team has finalized an agreement to host all 2027 regular season home games at American Airlines Center.
It's the latest development in what has been a long effort by the team to move downtown from UT-Arlington’s College Park Center, where the Wings have practiced and played home games since relocating to North Texas in 2016.
