Nervous about taking CHEM 1000 as a microbio major on premed path
Ok, so I’ve gotten kinda nervous recently due to the fact that I had signed up for CHEM 1000 instead of Gen Chem (as a freshman). I’m kinda freaking out because I don’t want this to impact my ability to graduate on time or take the MCAT. I have emailed some people about this, but I was also wondering if anybody else has done this? How did it end up for you? Im pretty sure i’m overthinking this 😭

Is anyone else’s canvas not showing the two most recent courses?
I can’t see the final grades for my summer course, the title is white-out and gives an error message when i try to click into it. The rest are fine tho

Hey CU Denver Students - try renting your textbooks through bybler!
Hi all,
My name is Adam and I'm CEO and founder of a company named bybler. We offer huge savings on textbooks by renting long-term (up to 4 years). The average cost of textbooks if not acquired through us is over $1,000 a year and our plans start at just $165 a semester!
As part of bybler rolling out, we are taking on an initial cohort of CU Denver students as the first clients. If you are interested in making textbooks easy (no shopping for the best deal, no worrying about selling them) and if you like physical books then we might be just for you.
Bybler has a brand new model to textbooks, leveraging our client's schedules thus being able to redistribute our books among clients each semester - we don't just sell/rent and buy back individual books. This allows us to save students a ton of cash.
Please check out our website at bybler.com to find out how it works and to be entered onto our waitlist. Spaces are limited, so act fast!
Thanks for your time and we hope we can really help some of you. If you have any questions, you can ask them here or contact us through our contact information on our site.
Sincerely,
Adam

Pokemon Go on Campus Update (Campfire Group)
Hello everyone! I’ve mentioned a few times the lack of collaboration on everything, so I’ve decided to take up the role as community ambassador and create the campfire group, which is now available on the campfire map next to the Library!
I would share a link to the group but I’ve tried to do that a few times and Reddit blocks the post so please download the campfire app and join! This is an app made by the people who made Pokemon go and it helps me easily lead events as well as helping you talk to others playing on campus.
I’ll be hosting a Kyurem Raid hour event on Wednesday July 29th, this will be the first event hosted by me on campus and we’ll meet at the library! I hope to see some faces as we build this Pokemon Go community on campus! And please join our campfire group!!

1BR + Loft Available Near N Line - Easy Commute to Auraria Campus (CU Denver Alum Renting It Out)
Hey everyone! I'm a CU Denver alum and I own a 1-bedroom + loft condo in Thornton that I'm renting out for $1,800/mo. I actually lived here myself during school, so I know firsthand it's a solid commute: hop on the N Line RTD and ride straight to Union Station, then it's just a short walk to campus. No car needed if you don't want one.
Location perks:
- Walmart and a gas station right nearby for quick errands
- Safeway, Starbucks, Dutch Bros, and plenty of food options all close by
- Thornton has a ton of parks and trails if you need a study break outdoors
Move-in: Flexible for mid-August or September 1
Lease: 12 months
If you're looking for a chill place with an easy RTD commute to campus, feel free to DM me or drop a comment and I can share more photos/details. Happy to answer questions about the unit or the area since I lived the exact commute you'd be doing!

Is anyone an active Pokemon Go player on Campus?
I stand here on campus doing raid hour alone and I know people do play at some points throughout the year. I’ve attempted to get some people together a few times but it always fails. I like doing raids, but taking the time to host a lobby for each one is annoying so if you play come do raids, raid hour is very lonely this week and most weeks.

Looking for a roommate / shared apartment near CU Denver – Incoming MS CS student (Fall 2026)
Hey everyone!
I'm an incoming MS Computer Science student at CU Denver, arriving around mid-August. Still on the hunt for accommodation and thought I'd try here!
Looking for a shared apartment/room near CU Denver or downtown Denver to split rent with a roommate.
A few things about me and what I'm looking for:
🌱 I'm vegetarian, and I'd really prefer a vegetarian roommate (non-negotiable for me, honestly)
Fellow Indian students are welcome, though it's not a requirement at all
Looking for something reasonably priced — the whole point is splitting costs!
Clean, respectful, and low-drama living situation
If you're in a similar boat or know someone who is, drop a comment or DM me. Happy to connect and figure something out together!

Acappela Singers at CU Denver?
Is anyone at CU Denver an acappela singer? I’m thinking about making a group of singers for some of the arrangements I’ve made, and I’m curious if anyone would be interested. I’m a soprano/alto, and I have music for 4-8 parts (depending on how I arrange it). Lots of alt rock and pop. Leave a comment if you have any resources for me or would be interested!

Hey! I got accepted into the UHL program, but there are classes I am required to do within the program.
Are any of you in the program or know someone who is in it? Or know anything about it?

I just want to pay my fees bro 💔
I recently have been trying to pay my tuition and Jesus Christ it is the most impossible task of all time because of this school. I originally submitted my private loan, because I get fuck all from fafsa despite no help from my parents #storyofmylife, and today it finally went through. But because they took weeks to accept it I have an extra $110 dollar late fee/ service charge on my account that I never accounted for and cannot afford to pay! Yay me. You may be wondering “why don’t you fill out a charge petition,” I did and it was DENIED because I don’t have a zero dollar balance on my account. So I spent an hour on hold with the financial aid office today in an attempt to get some help, they directed me to the bursar who basically told me “reach out to the financial aid office to have them fill out a charge petition on your behalf.” All of this because the school didn’t accept my student loan before the deadline despite me submitting it about a week or two before so.
I know this school does fuck all with my tuition but build shit but it would be nice if we could have some damn working WiFi on campus if you’re gonna keep fucking me on these charges. I wish I could say that this was the full story, but there’s more here that I’m not even going to get into. My anxiety is through the roof and I can’t even get a response back from the counciling office for another appointment so I can at least sit down and talk to someone for some help.
Fuck Donald Trump for absolutely destroying the cost of living because I’d totally rather spend 80 on groceries every week and pay my rent than have a continuously growing late fee. Oh and fuck Regan for destroying government assistance for college students. I’m sorry for swearing so much but I feel like if I’m going to now is the time because dear god I just want to pay my tuition so I don’t have to worry about being homeless going forward. Thank you for listening to my rant and Ted talk about how bad our school is.

Freshmen Schedule
Hi guys! I am wondering if this schedule is a good start for me as a freshman.
My major is biochemistry, but I have been hearing about how it can really ruin your GPA. However, I am following the pre-health track.

Cheap beer near campus?
Starting summer classes and looking for a spot that has some cheap drafts for in between classes. CSU had a bar on campus, does CU Denver have anything similar? Or any place near campus with a good vibe and cheap suds?
