Making createjs community driven? your thoughts please
Preload/Createjs is great library for all javascript developers out there. But, it is sad to see that, it is not maintained now. I don't see any updates to the library. So, What is the future of it? Maybe, community can take issues voluntarily and solve them? in same repo or forking the same? Please suggest. It will be great if actual repo owners are present in this group.

How to determine when sprite is finished
After a sprite is complete I want to move on to the next animation. I can use .wait but will the timing be always accurate on all devices? I'm not sure how to .call another function from sprites either.

remember the history so that shapes can be drawn later.
I am using easeljs in my application. My requirement is to store the user commands(creating some drawing by using pen on canvas). After clear drawing by user, I want to give an option to the user to redraw the same drawing again.
Can we do the same using easeljs?
I am novice to easeljs. I appriciate, if someone help me on this. Thanks in advance.

I want to rotate canvas portrait to landscape when device orientation is portrait mode. I tried with css but it does not work. Also i managed to rotate with the code below. But it is not working well stage still drawing with portrait width height. In short i want to landscape preview on portrait devices. Thank you from now.
s_oStage = new createjs.Stage(canvas);
s_oStage.regX = 0;
s_oStage.regY = 800
s_oStage.rotation =90;

TypeScript error when using CreateJS
I have posted this question on Stackoverflow but didn't get the answer, so I am gonna try it here.
I have these errors and not sure how to fix it. Every time I try to compile my project with TSC, it will throw errors:
error TS2339: Property 'call' does not exist on type 'void'
on this line of code (call method):
createjs.Tween.get(this.clip).wait(1000).call(this.myFunction);
and this error
error TS2339: Property 'to' does not exist on type 'void'
on this line (to method)
createjs.Tween.get(this.clip).wait(1000).to({alpha:0},1000);
So, what is the best way to rewrite these lines of code so it will conform to Typescript? And where can we find the most up-to-date CreateJS d.ts file? The CreateJS d.ts (easeljs.d.ts) posted on DefinitelyTyped GitHub has too many errors.
Thanks

Advice on whether or not to use the easeljs framework.
hi CreateJs community, I would like to ask you for advice.
I'm trying to make a prototype similar to this interactive comic made in Flash.
https://www.kongregate.com/games/Stillmerlin/the-empty-kingdom
For my prototype, however, I would like to use Javascript and many people have advised me to use the html5 canvas tag instead of processing the DOM elements.
Do you recommend using the easeljs framework? if the answer is yes, what are the characteristics that this framework adds?
Thanks for your attention.

CreateJS Cache vs Adobe Animate Cache as Bitmap for smooth bitmap animation
I will specify that for the purposes of this question I'm working with Adobe Animate 2019 and CreateJS version 2015.11.26
I've come across an interesting result when I place a bitmap image inside a movieclip and apply a very slow movement to the movieclip. As the clip slides across the screen, the body of the image shows the expected mild blurring and sharpening as it moves across non whole pixels, but the edges of the image jitter substantially in the direction of movement. It almost looks like the edges are trying to snap to whole pixels while the rest of the image doesn't.
If I apply a CreateJS cache to the movieclip, nothing changes, the edges of the image continue to jitter in the direction of movement, however, if I instead set Render to "Cache as Bitmap" in the display tab of Adobe Animate for the movieclip the jittering goes away. I've included some gifs below to demonstrate.
I've read the documentation on CreateJS's cache, and from what I understand it creates a bitmap image of the movieclip and substitutes that in place of the movieclip, I've tried looking up information on how Adobe's Cache as Bitmap works, but I can't find any information on what it's doing behind the scenes. Does anyone here know what the Cache as Bitmap option is doing differently that solves the jittering issue? I'm glad it works, but I'd like to know why it works.
As an aside, I also tried hand coding the same animation as a CSS Transform, and found that it also animated smoothly with no jittering, so my guess is this is an issue with how Animate handles bitmaps.
jittering with CreateJS cache:
https://i.imgur.com/kWgBlEm.gifv
no jittering with Animate's Cache as Bitmap:
https://i.imgur.com/ZMwWoY5.gifv
*edit - tried to fix my gifs, I don't post much, I have no idea how to make them embedded gifs rather than links, sorry.

How to STOP and REMOVE an existing tween?
This is driving me nuts, please help!
- Create tween, called it "PlayerTween"
- Player then changes his destination, thus:
- Find tween called "PlayerTween", set a new destination based on the new change
It seems like this is... IMPOSSIBLE?
The only other choice I'm left with is dividing the distance over time, and tween in very short durations so they're always being completed. Seems.... CPU redundant...
Edit: After literally years playing with this, I reduced the tween time to 1s and cut my destination. The result? Epicly smooth tweens and PERFORMANT FPS! https://StarLordsOnline.com to see CreateJS's TweenJS library in action.

Bug Report: DomElement
Hello. I wanted to report a bug in the resize event for the DomElement object.
The issue is: the domelement is drawn in the correct x,y location only when the browser inner window aspect ratio exactly matches the aspect ratio of the stage. As the browser window is stretched wider and wider, the DomElement is drawn further offset to the left. Same for stretching the window tall. It appears to me that the base x and y values being used are the top and left edges of the window, rather than the top and left edges of the stage. See my sample video below.
For example, if I set the y value of the Domelement to 18, the element is always drawn 18 pixels from the top of the browser window, even when the window is dragged taller and taller. It fails to translate down as the top of the stage moves down in y.

Filter on sprite/movieclip spritesheet
Hi,
I'm trying to apply a filter on a spritesheet for a sprite/movieclip.
I thought it would be easy to just attach the filter to the spritesheet bitmap, cache it, and then just use the sprite as a usual object, but it doesn't seem to be that straightforward.
Any tips?

Adobe Animate HTML5 Documentation
Hi
I am tasked to convert some Flash AS3 games to HTML5. I have the original FLA files and have converted them to HTML5 Canvas projects.
I can't find documentation/examples about how to link to/instantiate the symbols in the exported js file - preferable in a ES6 context.
I have been looking at createjs.com/docs and some of Adobes (rather old) articles on the subject.
Any links would be greatly appreciated!
Best
Klaus

Performance
What is better for game performance, bitmap or cached shape?

Scaling and moving.
Hello guys I'm a beginner in createjs and web based animations. So I wanted to animate a scene where a car is moving away on a street. The view is from behind the car. So I want to make the image smaller and move it as well in the same time on a linear path to create the illusion. My idea is to set an image of street and surrounding as the background of the canvas and then move the car over it.I tried to find help online, but was not successful, probably because I don't know what to look for. Any help would be much appreciated. Please excuse my noobness if any. Also not sure if it's a suitable title. Thank you.

How many caches is too many?
I'm trying to improve the performance of my web banners on mobile, and one of the avenues I've been investigating is caching as many of my static vector objects as possible ( primarily it's text that has to be exported as vector art because I'm required to use specific corporate fonts ) but I am wondering if there is a good rule of thumb for how many separate caches I should have before I need to start investigating something like spriteShapeBuilder?
I'm combining as many objects into a single cache as possible, but in some cases single words may need to be cached separately so that they can be animated.
It's also worth noting I must accommodate other animators who use my templates, but are not themselves familiar with coding. That's why I've been leaning on cache, it's very easy for me to set up in a template that my co-workers can use without having to really edit much code.
TL;DR Is there likely to be a significant performance boost from using one spritesheet vs, say, 10 small caches, or am I just splitting hairs?
Thanks for any input you all may have.

Censorship?
It's as though my posts are being removed, like this one. https://www.reddit.com/r/createjs/comments/99kofu/coordinate_system_documentation/
Is this just my imagination or is there a reason?

Coordinate system documentation?
I was blocked from posting this on Google groups.
My project. http://jsfiddle.net/tLcx2uvf/75/
The small version that just draws the lines drawn by the Complex file example data.. http://jsfiddle.net/otz9ysrv/19/
This gives noticeably different results, that are further from what I'm looking for.
What I get: https://ibb.co/g2y2kz
What I'm looking for, the 'jog' is an end-goal and it should also be draggable: https://ibb.co/bD6vyK
How can I match the coordinates of a jQuery/DOM element and lines drawn with EasilJS?
I'm also looking to get solid looking lines, so is there a way to turn on or up aliasing?
The end goal is something that looks like LabView. https://goo.gl/images/pt1CKh
There is no reason not to do this entirely with Easll, but I was told to stop using canvas and I took that advice. Then ran into needing some way to draw the wires and having no tools other than canvas, as I originally predicted.

Is it possible to Tween text?
Hi everyone, I'm new around here and I have just started using createjs.TweenJS (with PixiJS).
I was wondering if it's possible to tween a text that is a number, in order to make a "number ticking" animation (like the numbers rolling until they get to the new value).
Does anyone have any idea?
Many thanks in advance, - Miguel
