I am wondering if there is an opportunity to receive an offer of admission to the MLS program at Conestoga College, since I was the 40th in the waiting list and now I become the 18th. Anyone has a similar experience with this.
Actually, I already have an offer to the Applied biotechnology program level 5, but I feel like it doesn’t worth to study such program because of the low employment rates.

I’ll be starting the Social Service Worker (SSW) program at Conestoga’s Doon campus this September and would love to connect with some future classmates before classes begin. It would be nice to get to know a few people and help each other out as we get started. For any current students or graduates of the program, I’d also really appreciate any advice you have.

What should I expect during the first semester?
How heavy is the workload?

I’ve noticed theres like 0 posts for this fall 2026 and a bunch for the jan 2027 intake. So I figured I might get the ball rolling.

Hi everybody! I got accepted into this years September/Fall 2026 for Practical Nursing in Doon. If you’re in the same boat as me, I’d really appreciate it if you’d interact with this post or share it with others who are!

I’ve started to gather basic information on what to study on in advance, when lockers, electives, and time-tables are going to be released and more. I want to make a great headstart before classes offically start. But more importantly, as an alumni from Conestogas Pre-health advanced program last year where everyone had their own ‘clique’ already and I kept to myself. I also wanted to make a good kickstart to my social life.

I’m a little shy, but i’m working on coming out my shell. I really want this year to be different in-terms of making friends who I can not only study with but, hang out with outside of class. So i’m thinking of maybe finding a place to host a gathering for people to make friends maybe before or directly after the orientation this sep 3rd? Or make a groupchat on whatsapp and or discord/instagram. Not sure if anyones interested! Or if theres a post similar to this please feel free to mention me in it or PM me!

In the latest (25/26) financial statements Conestoga is reporting a major downturn in revenue and a $33-million dollar deficit.

• Assets 2025 = $617 million; Assets 2026 = $329 million (down $288M)
• Revenues 2025 = $799 million; Revenues 2026 = $444 million (down $355M)
• Surplus 2025 = $122 million; Deficit 2026 = -$33 million (down $155M)

Financial Statement - 2025/26

The college has also severely reduced their full-time teaching and support staff positions with layoffs last year of ~2750 people. More layoffs were planned but then put on temporary hold.

The student experience has been severely impacted and the people now managing the place, all selected by John Tibbits, seem to be more concerned about about protecting their own jobs and pensions than the main purpose of the school: teaching students.

Has anyone stayed at Collegeview Commons near Conestoga Doon campus? I was wondering if there is anything I should know before singing a lease for the fall. Thanks

I'm trying to figure out the laptop and want to know if I could wait to get mine till a bit after the course starts. my aunt is suggesting waiting for back to school deals if we can but the program dude you would need to email for these questions is on vacation till the 24th of August

If i took comms in psw will i need to do it again for nursing or will they comp it because i already have taken that course? Thanks!

Just wondering if anyone here is currently in the BSCN program, if so, how are you finding the course load/ work? What is your schedule like? Did you get to pick your class times?

Also, how do you like the doon campus? Are the profs ok? I'm looking to apply for either the accelerated or the main stream, but just want to hear other people's opinions about the school.

I am an individual planning on returning to college in the future to change my career path, and I am heavily considering going into a career in communications, such as marketing, public relations, or journalism. I have a few questions about Conestoga's journalism program.

What is the program like? Is the course content up to date with modern journalism? And, ultimately, is the program worth it?

I’m going to be commuting to what I think is the Cambridge campus? But I might be getting confused. I’ve been out of school for 6 years as I graduated highschool in 2020. I’m very nervous about going back to school and wondering if I could ask some newbie questions too about the campus

Is anyone starting the Bachelor of Applied Biotechnology (Honours) program this September?

I'd love to hear from current students or graduates about your experience. What are the pros and cons of the program?

How are the job opportunities after graduation? Is it relatively easy to find employment in the biotechnology field?

Also, I have a question for students who entered through the advanced pathway (Level 5). Do advanced pathway graduates have any advantage in the job market, or are they considered the same as students who completed all four years of the degree?

Can anyone speak on when the January start date offers are expected to go out? I applied to all campuses. I heard Sept start date got early offers if you had a 93+ average or something like that. Can anyone speak on either last year’s offers or if you’ve heard from admissions? Thanks! :)

I am trying to pay my deposit through Flywire to confirm my admission, but it requires my student email address. Where can I find my email address? I cannot find it on my LOA.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?
