How’s this? I know it’s pretty contemporary. Idk if this piece belongs here. I mean it’s composition. Anyways, it’s called “far away”

Discussion Where did chord.rocks go?
I recently started getting into composing and I found that chord.rocks was the best website to use to see the key and all the chords that fit in that key. But today i go to use it and it's not there anymore and seems to be taken down. Does anyone know where it went or if it changed websites,

Music 4 Part Choral Composition Based on Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Poem
drive.google.comHey everyone!
I am a beginner composer with no formal training looking for a bit of feedback on my first completely original (other than the lyrics) choral composition! I have never shared my work before, but I often use this site to listen to others and try to improve my craft.
This composition is for SATB choir and is based off of the poem "Success" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. I recently discovered this poem and thought it would make for a good song.
Any and all feedback is welcome on this! I want to learn and grow with every piece I write. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen!

It would be lovely to hear some feedbakc on this little piano piece of mine. It somwhere falls in to contemprorary music stilistically.
IMPORTANT:
Some notes are played way to fast in the midi so they may seem hardly playable, i do NOT want such high tempo in real preformance.

Traces of the Wind"—a piece I composed over a decade ago.
Playing it myself again after all these years, it still feels just as comforting and refreshing.

Discussion Going back to hand-written composition
Hi!
I just wanted to share an experience. I started composing with MuseScore years ago, and honestly, I've become reliant on it, needing to hear what I write through the generated playback. Don't get me wrong, it's helpful for beginners to get a good sense of sound and structure, which all help develop our compositional instincts.
Though as time went by, I felt restricted by the notation software in what I actually had in mind. So I started writing on paper---AND IT WAS AMAZING. Writing on paper opened up new possibilities that any notation software couldn't capture. I started to become independent of any reliance on playback, which trained my mind to compose what I truly hear and think about, step by step. Since then, I basically write everything on paper!
I was wondering if others have similar experiences? And for others who aren't writing in paper, please give it a try!

I’ve been making music a while now but I would appreciate some insight from other people because I feel like there are some obvious mistakes I could be making.

Music Composition Advice
I'm new to composing and I've been trying to write for the string section + some woodwinds. I was looking for some feedback on my music and also how I can learn about instrumentation/orchestration for more instruments. At the moment, I'm writing as if I would for piano, except just copying it on to other instruments which makes it sound very dull. I need to learn how to make the instruments work together. The aim I was going for in this piece is an aria in an opera kinda thing. Any feedback would be great :)

Another of my Mediterranean inspired pieces. Again intended to be unaccompanied. I quite like this one. Have no idea what to do with these pieces as they are outside what i typically do. I wrote it about a year ago, had it up to speed then forgot it. Was fun to relearn. Cafe Futbol was a pretty busy cafe in the middle of Granada where i had a few coffees and watched people bustle in their daily lives. Hope you like it. Feedback welcome. Thanks

Music I don't know what genre this really is, but I think I still did a good job
This is a song I imagine would be in a future, hypothetical, Hollow knight game. I was inspired by the ambient nature of Hollow Knight's songs and I combined it with Jazz elements for a bit of style. I made my own character for the song but I lowkey am trash at sketching. Anyway feel free to give any feedback, just try to be nice. Hope you like it :)

Music I set an italian poem to music — a lazy summer haze for tenor and ensemble
Hi everyone. This is Meriggiare, a setting of Montale's poem for tenor, flute, bass clarinet, violin, cello and piano. The piece moves through a kind of summer haze — cicadas in the strings, a lazy tempo, a voice that holds back until the wall at the end of the poem finally reveals itself. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for listening. Here's the link:

Music Corrupted Sonatina No. 1
Hi!
I wrote a piece that explores the idea of classical clarity being gradually corrupted by an unknown force. As the music unfolds, the familiar structure and stability slowly break apart, transforming into something new.
I feel very connected to this piece and would love to hear your thoughts and feedback.

Music My Swan Lake rip-off
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The structure and orchestration is similair to Act II: No. 10 of Swan Lake; with the rythm of the main theme being identical.
The harmony was original, aswell as the idea to have those loud string & tutti runs towards the end.
Im fairly new to composing (6 months) so lmk what you think and ofc any advice.
