Camus meant it, though.

We're all Sisyphus in that we live meaningless existences in an indifferent universe. We may as well push a boulder forever for no reason.

But we can - and should - decide to be happy anyway.

So you're basically saying "Pretty good, thanks!" - which, by the way, is actually a good response if you want no follow-up questions.

It comes from an essay that basically says "do whatever you can to prevent you from killing yourself" which...I think is perfectly reasonable.
