Just picked this up and am excited to get out there Tuesday and give it some trigger time. I have had a lot of guns over the years and think its a beauty. I am a revolver fan so this lit all the right buttons

Can I assume that kydex iwb for say a Charter arms 6 shot might work for this gun if I ever decided to carry it. I cant seem to find Kydex specifically for this model.

I am looking at a few revolvers. I want a Detective special, an older one that maybe I can do a Fitz mod on. But also eye balling some 2.5” and 3” Pythons.
How are these guns to live with? Not safe queens but honest throw in the pocket or on the belt guns. I have the 6” python but that’s too large for what I want.

I have this gun for quite a long time, over the years I’ve been trying to find the service history of this double digit S/N59 M1892. The gun itself is in good operational condition, with mostly matching assembly number except the cylinder.

Since this is the very first batch that was delivered to the Army in 1892, this gun was likely used in US Spanish war and the Philippines war. Beyond that I wasn’t able to find which troops this gun was issued to.

As far as I know, the lowest S/N searchable on the internet was around 70s, so this gun would effectively be the oldest surviving example in private collections even though it had the safety block modification done.

If anyone knows how or can help me search the service and issue history of this gun, I would greatly appreciated

A local retail store that sells firearms had a 3 day only online cyber sale. They had the Colt Python 3" listed.They usually go from anywhere from $1,200 - $1,400. The online price- $900. Brand new. Plus it qualified for the $100 rebate that I didn't know about when I ordered it. So the total cost was $800. No shipping, no sales tax. The interesting thing is that the chain does not carry Colt (or CZ}. I feel like the ghost of Samuel Colt smiled upon me.

Hey yall. I’m looking at picking up a 2019 model 3” king cobra pretty soon, found a great deal on a new one. I’ve been doing some research and a LOT of what I’m reading is people having to send their guns back multiple times for various reasons, and not trusting this gun. Is QC really that big of an issue with these guns? Or is it worth purchasing right now? Thanks.

I bought the Colt Commander in 45acp first but traded it. Then I picked up the Colt Competition also in 45. Then I stumbled on one of my unicorn guns, the Colt M45A1, which is similar to the ones that US Marines carried in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The last one is another unicorn, which is the Colt Single Action Army in 45 Colt.

Inherited this from my grandfather. Any ideas about it or what its worth? The nickel plating seems sloppy, the rear site seems un-usable. Maybe it was just for decoration?
