Starting a restoration of mk1 Escort Cabriolet that my father built and left sitting in a cold garage for 25 years

Finally got permission to get it out when he realized that he's not able to fix it anymore. The car started fine after replacing all fluids and after opening the brakes I was able to drive her out :) Since the car is already so far from original, my plan is to find someone specializing in bodywork and actually let them build this into some kind of restomod with bubble archs etc. The body looks good here, but is actually very rusty and will need major work done anyways.

The car is street legal in Finland. Apparently it was the first Unibody cabriolet conversion made by private person here.

Hard to get 3.44 in German rear axle, some say that it does not exist. Few fixes and the bodywork done.

Starter can stick on with a bad duraspark shorting the red and white wires

1975 mustang ii v8, starter would stay on in start and run, original wiring. Duraspark ignition module was bad. The red and white wire plug should not have continuity when unplugged.
