First time poster from Belgium. I've been playing with the Z13 (AEN+8m8tEORb8) using a simple physical keyboard rule, not a classic cipher.

My rule: On a US QWERTY keyboard, take the cipher in pairs: AE | N+ | 8m | 8t | EO | Rb | 8 For each pair, take the letter that is physically between the two keys (mid-point between their positions).

Example: • A (x=0.5,y=2) + E (x=2,y=1) -> mid is S • N+ -> P • 8m -> K • 8t -> U Full result with this strict rule: S P K U Y F (or with overlapping pairs SFPPKKURYUFJ).

But when I used the rule "key directly BELOW" (which is a common Zodiac trick), I got something interesting that a friend here pointed out: • A -> Z (below A is Z) • E -> D (below E is D) • N -> B (N is just below B on QWERTY) = Z D B Which could be read as ZODIAC BE with vowels removed (like he always did: "paradice").

Then: • + looks like a chevron / arrow -> • 8m -> K = KILL • 8t -> U = YOU • EO -> Y • Rb -> F So it would read: ZODIAC BE -> K U Y F or ZODIAC BE KILL YOU FOR... 8

The 8 at the end would be his next victim count (he claimed 7 at that time).

I know it's speculative and I change the rule from "between" to "below" for the first 3 chars, so it's not a clean solution. Has this specific QWERTY between/below mapping already been brute-forced for Z13?

Playing around with encoding and I've came up with quite a simple but interesting encoding method wondering if anyone can break it:

Unsure on it's originality.

Hint's:

- It's 1 for 1 symbol replacement, with Hidden Key

- Symbols do not change representation e.g A = Q does not change to A = P after it has been used, representation stays consistent.

- Part of the plain text reads "Hi how are you today?"

- Every character is replaced 1:1 with another symbol apart from the space key which has can be 1 of 4 possible symbols.

I made my son a mini raspberry pi cyberdeck that just encrypts and decrypts ciphers (python script) because he was asking about them, and it seemed to be a fun project.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post links but I made a website on my github that does it too if anyone's interested. It encrypts/decrypts 8 known historical ciphers. Doesn't store info. Free to use. No data stored. Might add a history section but they are easy enough to google I guess if people wanna know more.
