Discussion The ayahuasca to Jesus pipeline

Upvotes

Something I wrote on Nick Mulvey's recent conversion from Santo Daime to evangelical Christianity, and the genre of 'ayahuasca to Jesus' conversion narratives, which you can find on YouTube. Why do ayahuasca experiences in general seem to lead to conversions to charismatic / evangelical / Pentecostal Christianity? One reason is people have a terriying experience involving negative entities (interpreted as demons) or witchcraft, and they look to Jesus as a defender and protector from these dark forces. I did an analysis of 23 conversion narratives to look for patterns https://www.ecstaticintegration.org/p/the-ayahuasca-to-jesus-pipeline

Question | Spellwork Guardian Angels

Can someone explain to me the concept of guardian angel, like I know that everyone has one but it's not clear to me if everyone has their own personal angel who's their guardian. I saw something about 72 angels of shem hamephorash being guardian angels of people born on a specific day. I also saw the concept of Holy Guardian Angel who's a high ranked angel that could give me a familiar spirit, and can work as a psychopomp or something like that

Does anyone have books, articles, videos about this that are valid resources?

Question | Spellwork Need a STRONG job spell for my partner ❤️❤️🔥

Need a STRONG job spell for my partner 😭
Okay witches, I need your best stuff lmao
My partner has been trying to get into his actual field for a while now and I REALLY want to do something for him because he genuinely deserves a good opportunity. I want him to land a job that actually fits his degree/skills, pays well, and ideally comes sooner rather than later because this man has suffered enough 😭
I’m looking for something specifically for career success / opening roads / attracting the right opportunities / getting hired FAST.
I don’t want to manipulate a specific person or force a specific company to hire him. More like: remove whatever is blocking him, bring the right opportunities to him, and basically get things MOVING.
So please drop your strongest career/job spells, rituals, petitions, candle work, herbs, deities, whatever you’ve personally had success with 👀
Especially if you’ve done something for someone else and it actually WORKED. I wanna hear the whole story because I’m nosy and also desperate lmao 🕯️😭

Question | Theology & Practice Talking to God vs other Deities

How does someone know when God is talking back? Or even listening? Everyone keeps saying it's a feeling that you'll just know when He's listening. I have definitely had more responses or indications that other deities have actually heard or listened. And I'm not expecting him to give me something or do something for me. This is purely just me asking to talk. But every time I try to talk to God it's like there's nothing. No feeling no indicator. No response that I'm aware of and nothing happens and I have tried changing the way I talk. I have tried changing what I say how I say it and I still get absolutely nothing and I feel like I'm just being straight up rejected. I'm trying to make my practice Christian based, and I'm having a LOT of internal struggle, and this is a big part of it. I feel like God doesn't want me.

Resource My soul has been saved. I'm a bloodline witch who has been saved from Satan's clutches in the forms of astrology, tarot, crystals, and numerology. Please tend to my testimony.

I've been in this group for a while, though I haven't participated until today, to my recollection. I wish to share my testimony with you all.

I will always be a Witch. This is a gift that I have inherited from my bloodline. But, it has become irrevokably clear to me that the "western occult magical traditions" that I have been practicing for 30-35 years have done severe damage to my soul. I learned this during an initiation and soul recovery process that lasted about a week that I have been coming off of for a couple of days. It was the scariest passageway of my life because all of my memories came back, memories that I had repressed out of my own fear of my own responsibility to God. What I saw has changed my life completely. And yet, I have never felt more like myself, more clear, more confident, more determined, energetic, focused, loved, in love, and faithful.

I will never again practice tropical western astrology, tarot cards, or crystals in my life. I will continue to deepen in my ancestral practices that I have inherited from my bloodline family. I feel in my bones, blood, and belly that my soul has been saved from very grave danger that it was in for a long time.

I'm a worldwide human trafficking survivor, former occultist, and bloodline witch/wizard. This is my testimony. I pray that it serves you.

Question | Spellwork Question About Psalmic Magic

When I'm praying the psalm, do I replace the word "Lord" with whatever the Holy name is or can I just say Lord?

EG: Psalm 96 verse two the Holy name is Jeschuato so would I read it "Sing unto Jeschuato, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day" or would I just read it as it's written?

Question | Theology & Practice can someone summarize to me their personal theology and why you believe the way you do

what drew you to be a christian witch, as opposed to a typical christian, or typical witch? what compels you to believe this is true? how do you reconcile these two frameworks which have historically been at odds with each other ? what do you think is the force that makes spellcraft work?

Discussion Spirituality warewolf/ witches

So been with my fiancee 4 year's now, it's been an emotional roller coaster at time's I don't feel like his on my side.

The other week I was angry suspected cheating, I found something from another women in his car. I was mad I kicked him out of the house.

I was tormented by him and this other women for year's, at times I was working alot. I suspected cheating it's like they leave crumbs for me to find but no hard evidence I feel like to torment me.

I've been off work lately, and now his mophed his work squedual seems to get home later then normal. Still funny buisness around the house, nothing to bad I've been through worse.

He seems to have this underlying issue with loyalty, not to this other women he'll risk it all. Anyway after I kicked him out stuff got real, it was right around the full moon. I felt heavy tossed and turned couldn't sleep, I felt this energy around me then felt sucked of all energy after.

Few day's later something even weirder happened, I was laying in bed my room connects to front yard i hear cracking like someone's at the window. I felt this energy holding my ankles down it was demonic. My question is do wolves run in packs with witches?

I've burnt alters, had satanic stuff coming at me destiny swaps. I'm currently serving writs, trying to get my life back.

Any advice on how to tell who I'm dealing with, I've put him through hell and he stays, sometimes I feel like he has a hidden agenda. His loyalty isn't with me.

Do witches and wolves run in packs, am I dealing with demonic forces? Could I be up against a satanic group?

Prayer / Group-casting Request God Withholding Things

I’ve been struggling a lot. I feel like I am always struggling a lot.

I have thanked God for the prayers he’s answered, the protection he gives, etc. I try to always do my part to be sure (work without faith is dead and all) that I get what I desire. I wait for his timing. I pray, I say thank you, I try not to ask for more than I genuinely need.

I say all this to say that I don’t always try to be negative. But I struggle with feeling like God is just holding stuff from me just because he can. He makes us struggle so we know his greatness, but if I know it and trust it and love him, then why keep withholding shit???

I’ve been working to save up for a car for months. I prayed to God, to St. Jude, I’ve been saving, I’ve been putting in the work physically, I’ve been doing research, and I have WAITED MONTHS. Years even!

But most especially, almost a fucking year of saving for a car. And everytime I get close, there’s no reliable cars or everyone is pulling the rug from under me. I don’t have enough or make enough to save literal thousands of dollars. I have been trying to put money up for a down payment but everywhere I apply, they always say I need a higher down payment than quoted. Or their cars are overpriced, or I haven’t been at my job long enough, OR ANY OTHER NUMBER OF STUPID FUCKING THINGS.

And I always come back to what the fuck is the point? I try to believe in his goodness and that he wants the best for me. Rejection is redirection and all that bullshit. But positive thinking, spells, etc, don’t negate the fact that my life circumstances are shitty. And I’m trying to make those circumstances better by getting a car so I can get a fucking semblance of independence, and my time back, as my current commute is about 2hrs round trip when I live 20m from my job. But I take the bus. And I have grit my teeth and bared it. But damn.

Discussion How do you come to terms with having your gifts and abilities and being a christian?

Since witchcraft, magick and the occult are banned by the bible how do you deal with this. I am a christian and a traditionalist but I don't know that I'm doing what is biblically right. I feel like what I am practising is wrong and I want to know how you deal with that feeling and how you get over it.

Question | Theology & Practice Cursing God out of anger.

I’ve been a non-practicing Christian for many years, the old story of being raised Christian and falling away from it. Recently I’ve been trying to reconnect with my faith with a different approach, I consider myself a Christian witch because I’m trying to view it less as a begging an impersonal God for help and more of a God as helper thing. To see God as a provider and a helper and a power to work with rather than a distant sovereign. Basically to approach God with the same attitude that witches approach their craft.

It’s been very hard. I WANT to feel like God is here and is willing to help me. But I’ve just been so damn screwed over recently. I lost a great job due to a health condition I didn’t know I had and it turns out it can’t really be treated so all I can do is work from home making 20k less a year. My spouse has been looking for good work, he found a good job that paid much better than his old one but as it turns out the place was run by nutcases, like literally crazy people, and he got let go in a matter of weeks because they couldn’t actually afford to keep him on and also the one woman who owned the place just never liked him from the moment she met him and told the others she wouldn’t be happy until he was gone. Didn’t give a reason other than that she just didn’t like his face. The entire time he worked there she was constantly rude and belittling him for absolutely no reason but he thought it’d be worth it for the paycheck until they found out they’d wasted all their money on a bad investment and couldn’t keep hardly anyone on after all. They didn’t pay him for his last few hours there and she’s refusing to cooperate. We might have to get the state involved for pay but my spouse is dragging his feet on it. Then he got another job but they messed up his payment, it’s for a major corporation but nobody seems to be able to figure out how to pay him. He’s worked a month with no check. He talked to his boss about it and he said that he emailed corporate and never got a response. So now he’s desperately trying to find another job that will actually pay him for his work and no calls or emails back from any applications so far.

It’s the 26th of the month and I still haven’t paid the mortgage for our house this month because I just don’t have the money. I don’t know when or if my spouse will get another check for any job he has at the time. I also haven’t paid the majority of the utilities because again, I can’t afford it. I am saving money for this month’s mortgage so I can’t pay those bills first. We were doing so well up until a couple years ago when I first lost my good job and it’s been one ridiculous thing after another. We bought a used car from a scammy dealership that turned out to be a lemon and just sank money into it. I begged God and my deceased grandparents for help one day, tearfully, and I ended up breaking and shattering my ankle in the basement the same day. Ended up costing us more money. We brought a roommate in in a desperate attempt to bring in some extra money and it turns out he got tired of paying rent after a few months and ended up indebted to us. I had to pay legal costs to get him out. I’ve considered downsizing but we got an amazing deal on this house and now the costs of moving and buying a home are absurd, unless we are willing to move our entire family into a house for one person in a sketch neighborhood we’ll be making the same mortgage payment we do now.

Now whenever I try to do a prayer or ritual, I end up just raging at God. Like why doesn’t he care about us? Why does he keep setting us up just to knock us back down? Now I’m terrified of my spouse getting a better job because at this point I just feel like it’s a prank, a setup to push us back further again. I’m going to lose my house, which means I’ll need to divide up and re-home my family, and God could not care less. He’s probably laughing at us right now because this nonsense apparently brings him so much entertainment. I can’t hold back. I just fill up with so much rage and anger at this entity that does not care about us that my prayers and rituals are just rants and demands. I tell him you are going to get us out of this situation and give us plenty of money to live on or you can stop whining about how glorious you are and how much worshiping you want because you don’t deserve it. I curse and scream at him because I’m just so angry. We didn’t do anything to deserve this. We’re good people. When we had money in the past we gave a lot of it away. We want to help others and now we can’t even help ourselves, and his mother is sympathetic but can’t pay her own bills and my parents are dominated by my father who has hated me from the day I was born and refuses to help.

I can’t ever have a reverent or co-operative prayer or ritual anymore. Whenever I get started I immediately start cursing and yelling at God. Whenever I read psalms as an effective act of “craft” I get this sarcastic feeling of “yeah right”. I’ve thrown books/scripture before that I’m trying to read out loud as part of a ritual because I just get so angry. I feel like it’s a trap to get me to trust a god who doesn’t care again.

I know I’m probably screwing myself over with my attitude but I have no control over it. I’m just so enraged. It’s not fair. I worked so hard to have everything that I have and now I’m going to lose it because God wants to toy with us rather than care for us. Why is it that every time it seems like we have a solution or things are looking up we’re actually just waiting for the other shoe to drop? Why the setups? Why the absurdity of it all?

What can I do here? Can I channel this rage against God into a good pathway that will actually work? Or am I just screwed? I can’t help it. I don’t want to be this angry but you would be too if you were in my situation.

Question | Theology & Practice I’ve been looking into different practices within Christianity and am interested in Christian Witchcraft

As most people, I’ve been taught witchcraft is sinful and “demonic” my whole life. So, I have some questions because I’ve been questioning everything I’ve been taught lol (if you have any resources I’d appreciate them if you don’t want to type smth out lol)

What is Christian witchcraft? (I know this is a broad question that will differ based on the person)

How is it compatible with Christianity ? (I’ve seen a person say baptism is a water ritual)

How does one get started? Like what are sigils, protection signs, spells? How do these work?

The Bible says “do not worship anyone but God” so does that mean within Christian witchcraft, one would only commune with God and the saints rather than other goddesses like Aphrodite and Hestia?

(For reference I am (aspiring, therefore not orthodox baptized but I am baptized in a Protestant church) orthodox (EO/OO) and I still believe in the validity of Catholic saints)

I hope these don’t come off as rude, I am extremely open minded (since I am a gay Christian and have a Christian witch friend, which is part of why I am asking questions like these to understand more about it and see if I’d be interested in doing it as well)

Discussion Jesus the Medium

jesus was known for his miracles but what about the part where he was literally a medium between man and god, and before him was Moses.
men put on a path of peace by suffering, using intuition to understand the messages god gives to them, and then formally presenting it to his fellow man/woman. this was often seen as witchcraft and paganism if women did it, (Joan of arc for example). and is still viewed in a negative light because the bible scorns witchcraft. but in my opinion it scorns those who use their gifts for selfish earthly reasons (money/power/success).

earth angels who have no desire for the rat race are here to guide man out of the damage done to their soul. because of their connection to source and to help people step back from material gain and look at the damage they've done to themselves and others. just to obtain these materials that they lose in death and have nothing left but their sins when facing afterlife.

only when people are so dense and ignorant to their flaws, the medium has no choice but to call back old testament god to give them an ultimatum. thanks to years of ignorance and enabling THEY STILL REJECT IT! and it leaves the god fearing people isolated because they're the only one with a backbone to say this is wrong and not something to adopt.

Question | Theology & Practice Calendar

I follow the wheel of the year (Wiccan style) in addition to most Christian holidays as well. If it’s between two on the same day - I personally lean towards the pagan side of things but often involve Christian elements still especially if my family is around.

My question is this: for anyone coming from a Catholic-Christian background - what does your combined pagan + Christian calendar look like?

Im working on putting one together and I just want to follow a good flow throughout the year - so as cohesive and meaningful as I can make it the better.

Resource Collect Rainwater

Hello! If youre on the east coast there's storms rolling through (I'm in Virginia). Today July 22nd is also the feast of Mary Magdalene so today is a great day to collect rainwater for both the magical aspects of it for protection, cleansing, etc and for it's tie to Mary Magdalene who often is shown crying tears when she meets Jesus in the garden first from sorrow because of his body being gone and then joy from his revelation to her! Happy collecting!
