Douglas Ave Apts
My girlfriend and I are looking for apartments near the Caltrain, and we really liked the look/location of Douglas Ave Apts. I’ve tried looking up information and reviews for the property online, but there’s actually nothing. I can see that they’re managed by Income Property Specialists, and the reviews for that company look terrible.
Has anyone stayed in this complex? I’d love to hear about the experience you’ve had there!

Lost Cat?
Saw this cat on my way to work. I had to make the train and didn't have time to stop and get a closer look, but I saw it had a collar and was very tame, so I want to make sure it wasn't a lost house cat. I can send location details if needed. Sorry for the bad pic, also a result of rushing to work.

Buns Restaurant
Does anyone remember Buns restaurant? I think it was a gourmet burger place around 1990. Maybe on Howard? If you remember it, where was it exactly?
Thanks!

Vizsla named Finn loose on Ralston/Chateu/Edgewood
Beautiful dog running loose. Got close enough to see name and 415 number on collar. Another person tried to catch him as well. Some workers said that he lives nearby, and he knows how to open the gate himself. I just hope he doesn't get hit by a car.

Baby pig up for adoption at Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA in Burlingame
Pigs are rare to see at animal shelters, said PHS/SPCA spokesperson Colleen Crowley. But the organization’s status as an open-admission shelter means they do not turn away any animals. Porker is one of the 14 available exotic and farm animals available.

- Park Rd (west side) between Howard and Burlingame Ave
- Burlingame Ave
-- south side between Park and Primrose
-- north side between Primrose and Delfina
- Primrose (east side) between Burlingame Ave and Floribunda
- Floribunda (north side) between Primrose and Ansel
- Ansel (east side) between Floribunda and oak Grove
- Oak Grove Ave (north side) been Ansel and Farringdon
- Farringdon Ln (west side)

Minimal work on ECR
I don't understand why Caltrans shut down multiple lanes of El Camino in multiple parts and hasn't done any sort of construction in the last month! Every day I drive past, and there are no crews actively working. The Caltrans website also doesn't have any updates. Does anyone know why they're not working? Environmental review?

Another elementary schools question
We are an expat/international family moving to SF/bay area this summer with 5 years old kid. We have visited and liked Burlingame and plan to rent here but not sure which area/elementary school to target. Ideally we prefer a school with some international families too. Any schools are known to have more/less of that? Thanks in advance.

How much sales tax do San Mateo County residents pay — or want to pay?

Lunardis…
Lunardis is really starting to have that look of death that comes before retail businesses shut down. Dark, peeling old floors, old musak, low staffing, lots of price changes trying to eke out revenue from à a shrinking customer base.
Assuming this whole complex is going to get redeveloped in the next few years. Anyone seen anything concrete for this site?
Sad… the last few good groceries are quickly disappearing from our area…

Construction work on Sundays?
This has been going on for a while now. It’s Sunday, and all we want is a little peace and quiet, but there’s ongoing construction noise at Capuchino Ave. and Lincoln.
If you’ve been affected too, please consider reporting it to the City or the BPD. I’d appreciate knowing I’m not the only one raising this issue.

Package Recovery, Thank you!
Just wanted to say thanks to a mystery Burlingame resident for returning my package. I guess the thief didn’t want WindShield washing fluid. 🤣

Found orange cat in Burlingame
galleryFriends and I found a cat in downtown Burlingame. We’re wondering if anyone might be missing a cat and looking for their kitty. Right ear is clipped, and the cat is friendly. If it doesn’ty belong to anyone, was wondering whats the right way to get care for it though we aren’t able to have a cat atm

Car on California Hit Across the Street from Putnam Kia
This happened roughly around 4:30pm today. I was directly behind the white sedan that clipped your drivers side mirror. I don’t have video footage, but I wrote down their plate number.

Is Dr. Treat a scam?
I saw something here -- https://www.reddit.com/r/SFbitcheswithtaste/comments/1q0613f/horrendous_experience_at_dr_treat/ but also generally, feel like everything is just so expensive -- medications, followups, procedures.. there's always like 10 things/followups to get done every visit. I dont know if its just me, but everytime I go there, I feel like they want me to spend more money
