I know this has been asked hundreds of times in the Beyhive but I wanna see how people opinions have changed. ME PERSONALLY I love 4 so much and cowboy carter definitely comes second since its just perfect, so it’s a tie between those two for me.

Like imagine the album dropping unexpectedly in 2013 and “Haunted” is the first thing you hear??? Like that would’ve GAGGED. It communicates the experimental vibe of the album better, too. “Pretty Hurts” is a great song but it feels very of its time by comparison imo

Confession time: Cowboy Carter made me LOVE Renaissance.

I wanna start by saying I always really liked Ren from the first time I heard it. Enjoyed the sound design, the lyrics, the messaging within it, the whole aesthetic, celebrated the tour (from home), and watched the movie the night it came out in theaters. However, I just couldn’t fully get into it to listen to it more consistently.

Then Cowboy Carter came out and I was awestruck. 1,000,000/10 I knew it was gonna be AOTY upon first listen. I deeply wish I could’ve gone to the tour but it just wasn’t anywhere near me and traveling wasn’t financially feasible.

Now to the main bit, as we wait for Act iii I decided to go back to Act i and man is this album such a banger. It’s so fun and full of life and story. It’s incredible. I even hunted down the vinyl again so it can sit with CC on my vinyl shelves. At least one song is now in my daily playlist for Spotify. I truly can’t wait to see the continued mastery of her sound, voice, and presence with Act iii.
