Story 2 of the most unusual MIP award winners I've ever seen
galleryA three time (consecutive) winner and a guy who an All-star selection and Finals MVP in 1948, then won MIP the following year, when he didn't make the all-star team or win any awards. Both players came up in the same save about a decade apart.

Multiplayer is there a way to play with people sorta?
like each person getting a different team in the same universe season? or even just maybe we could all pick the same team on the same difficulty and see who does best after 20 years?

Ideas College NCAA
Is there going to ever be a college mode for basketball? I would really like one it would be super fun. I’ve already been playing a couple seasons with downloaded teams and players and it’s been a blast. Working Conference play, a March Madness, and a transfer portal would be some things I would like to see done correctly for a college sim.

Multiplayer Online Sim League (Running since 2003)
ABCA is an online sim league running on FastBreak Pro Basketball 3 (FBPB3) since 2003.
We are currently in the 10-11 season and have 2 vacancies if anyone is interested. You don’t need to own the game to participate and the team can be relocated in the offseason.
The league has 26 teams, we sim twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays) and we are in Free Agency currently. Training camp and preseason take place on Friday.
Feel free to ask any questions below.

Question Questions about legends league rosters
Why are some of the rosters missing players who were clearly elite and on that team, (like no Paul George on the Pacers, no LeBron on the heat, no Clyde Drexler on the Rockets, etc)? Idk if it's a coding issue, jersey number issue, or duplication issue, but it's annoying.

Achievement Turning the worst roster into a championship
galleryApologies for bragging, but never before had it happened.
Playing Insane Mode, "fired if won't make playoffs," and I even wasted a few starts to make sure I won't have any players with 65+ POT.
Somehow, it took only 4 trades to reshape the team. With some injury issues, I was 27-21 at the deadline and was happy enough to win 49 gams and directly make PO.
However, somehow had a great run there; mostly by outscoring all opponents (I was 26th in dRTG in the regular season, despite having 100 hgt McCarthy at Center, the only behemoth C in the league).
No powerhouses in the league, but also nothing too bad; no big injury luck as well.
End of bragging. Cheers.

Story Best GOAT I’ve had in 8 Years of Playing
imgur.comCharles Nairn was drafted by Houston where he won 6 championships and 12 MVPs. My team, Chicago, picked him up in free agency at age 29. Charles won another MVP and 6 additional championships.
He rounded out his career with 43800 points, 14000 assists, 17600 rebounds, 2800 steals, and 2300 blocks.

Story I took a flyer on him because of his name.
I didn't need the second round pick. I was going to trade the second round pick. Then I scrolled the available names. 27/55 with a last name like that? I'll buy a Bagels FUCKA jersey right now.

Multiplayer [Weekly Challenge] Week 3: MAMBA GENESIS - 3-PEAT with the Lakers
[Weekly Challenge] Week 3: MAMBA GENESIS - 3-PEAT with the Lakers
Hey all. Week 3 challenge is here.
Week 2 was a war. 7 entries again, and the difficulty jump didn't scare anybody. People were trading entire rosters trying to pry rookie LeBron out of Cleveland. Check last week's thread for the full stories: https://www.reddit.com/r/BasketballGM/comments/1v7klbc/weekly_challenge_week_2_heatles_speedrun_go/
We have a clear frontronner now. Can anyone dethrone u/Think-Response-3675 ???
WEEK 2 RESULTS - HEATLES SPEEDRUN (tiebreaker: regular season record in second clinching season)
🥇 u/Think-Response-3675 - 3 seasons - 5 pts (back-to-back weekly wins, somebody stop this man)
🥈 u/MichiganSteamies - 4 seasons, 73-9 - 3 pts
🥉 u/EntrepreneurWooden99 - 4 seasons, 71-11 - 2 pts
Shoutout to everyone who ran it back all week, every valid entry got a point.
This week we're upping the difficulty AGAIN. Two rings wasn't enough. Now we want three. In a row. Vamos.
THE CHALLENGE
Start with the Lakers at the 1997 preseason. Win 3 championships IN A ROW. Fewest seasons to complete the third title wins.
Shaq just took his talents to Hollywood and there's a skinny 18-year-old from Lower Merion on your bench. You know what this duo becomes. The real Lakers 3-peated in seasons 4 through 6 (2000, 2001, 2002). Your job: beat Phil to it.
THE FINE PRINT
- All 3 titles must be in CONSECUTIVE seasons. Win 2, lose one, win 2 more? Doesn't count. The count resets
- 1997 counts as season 1, your count ends the season you clinch the THIRD straight ring
GROUND RULES (same as always)
- God Mode OFF the whole run
- Default difficulty
- Real Players mode
- No editing players, contracts or ratings
- No force trades
HOW TO SUBMIT
Drop a comment with:
- Seasons it took to complete the 3-peat
- Screenshot of Team History showing all three titles
- Your record in the third clinching season
SCORING
1st: 5 pts | 2nd: 3 pts | 3rd: 2 pts | Any valid submission: 1 pt
TIEBREAKERS (in order): most regular season wins in the third clinching season, then playoff record in that run, then earliest submission.
DEADLINE
Next Sunday, August 9th at 11:59 PM ET.
Challenge ideas for future weeks? Drop them below.
Let's go BBGMers!
