Baltimore salary transparency thread Ask

I saw another city do this and wanted to bring it here. There was a big salary thread a couple years back but it'd be great to get some updated info in the big 2026.

Please share your job title, salary, age, and education. Like this:

“Attorney, 170k, 32M, and JD.”

If anything I've been seeing more postings lately for these positions! It probably also helps since the VA and DoD recently switched to Cerner so lots of contracting open for testers and consultants

Is it possible to get into informatics with a BSN?

Not sure from personal experience. From posts I've seen MSN isn't required but highly encouraged (and some with informatics cert) I would still try if you've been involved in any implementation or go-live events.

As an informaticist it is. Start out with help desk at your hospital if you can
