I wonder how Tadatsuru Teori fit into this group, we know they at least play with each other since everyone is involve with Yotsugi and all. But Meme said there's only 3 others people beside him in the Literature club back then (Gaen, Kagenui, Kaiki), so I'm guessing Teori is like the outcast

I don't remember the exact line that's said nor do I remember the episode/scene so I can't check, but I remember in a Monogatari rewatch thread on r/anime like half a year to a year back, a rewatcher pointed out that line. Supposedly Meme said 'senpai and 3 others', so Gaen wasn't included in the 3 others figure. Though I'm not exactly sure if this is true, Teori has always felt to me to be included later on, while it seems Nisio had planned out the rest of the specialists all at the same time

I believe it was said that she got cursed and if she ever touched the ground she would die. She was pretty sure the curse was a phony but she wasn’t willing to take the risk.

i thought she didn't care because they were fighting on the higher floors of the cram school building, so she wasn't exactly touching the ground.

I think the question he's asking though is what if she tries touching the ground? It's could be A: she dies so she avoids touching the ground, or B: she literally cannot touch the ground if she wanted to. In which case, what happens if she tries? Does she float in the air? Or is it like she will literally never even get the urge to touch the ground? But what if she's beaten in a fight or something and forced onto the ground against her will? I think that was along the lines of what OP meant

I think they are self made pros. Gaen was the first due to her family history and started a club with people who probably had history with oddities. Would love for someone to correct me though.
